Bought the new Sony 100mm f2.8 macro GM. Started playing with textures, this is a closeup of verdigris before I scrape off the crystals off copper pieces to make pigment. Minimal edit on the jpg file. I’m gonna have so much fun this summer, def my favourite lens already.

Fragments of an Infinite Field #692 & #754 by @MonicaRizzolli “Fragments of an infinite field” understands that a flower is already a pattern engine. The real subject is figure-ground instability: petals, soil, sky, and atmosphere pressed into the same chromatic register until the image starts to read as a field. Season does the heavy lifting. It sets weather, drift, and mutation across the population, giving the work an internal logic closer to morphogenesis than ornament.
