🗣️At the 2nd edition of the @BudapestBiogasSummit, PiotrKuś, @ENTSOG, presented the latest insights on biomethane injection and system integration. 🟢Drawing on ENTSOG analysis, #biomethane is increasingly contributing to #decarbonisation, while building on existing #infrastructure and supporting system #flexibility. 📌Recent data shows that biomethane #injections are rising across most EU Member States, supported by new production capacity and connection to #gasgrids. 📌At the same time, injection levels remain below the 2030 #REPowerEU target, with regional disparities persisting. 📌The integration of biomethane into system planning (e.g. #TYNDP) highlights growing volumes and increasing focus on infrastructure optimisation, such as #repurposing existing assets. 🎤At the @BudapestLNGConf 2026, @PiotrKus, @ENTSOG , presented the 2050 Roadmap for Gas Grids, outlining the role of European gas infrastructure in ensuring system resilience and supporting the evolving energy system. 💡Piotr underscored the scale of Europe’s gas transmission network, with around 260,000 km of pipelines supplying approximately 100 million households, and addressed key challenges ahead, including #securityofsupply, #assetmanagement, and the #energytransition. 📌The intervention also emphasised the role of #LNG infrastructure and system integration: -Effective use of LNG requires not only sufficient #regasification capacity but also optimising #flows and maximising #infrastructure use across Member States. -#Infrastructure strengthens security of supply when supported by adequate #transmission capacity and access to #storage enabling seasonal #flexibility. 🤝In a tightening global LNG market, coordinated infrastructure, storage and sourcing are key to system #resilience. 👉Read ENTSOG’s latest Summer Supply Outlook here: tinyurl.com/356hchvz

The FoGG report provides an overview of stakeholders inputs throughout the meetings facilitated by ENTSOG in 2024/25, which focused on key challenges and enablers for the emerging CCUS value chain. 🎤@ENTSOG, Piotr Kus, took part in @GIEBrussels 's Sector‑Coupling Study Launch “Unlocking Energy System Efficiency: The Strategic Role of Hydrogen Infrastructure in Sector Coupling”. 👥️Piotr Kuś contributed to the panel discussion on infrastructure and interlinkages across different energy carriers, moderated by Lucie Boost, alongside Abel Enríquez (@ENNOH), Rodrigo Freitas Barbosa (@ENTSO_E ), Ralph Bahke (@GIEBrussels), and Andrej Guminski (@FfE). 📌ENTSOG’s messages highlighted: - Energy system hashtag#integration should be the basis of EU infrastructure planning, explicitly linking hashtag#electricity and hashtag#gas systems and recognising their interdependencies in smart grids; an aspect still insufficiently reflected in the current EU Grids Package. - Integrated planning must jointly deliver the energy transition, hashtag#securityofsupply, system hashtag#stability and hashtag#affordability, while balancing EU‑level objectives with what regulated TSOs can implement under national regulatory frameworks. - Europe’s gas infrastructure remains a critical system asset beyond 2035, providing hashtag#flexibility, hashtag#storage and balancing hashtag#services for a wide range of end‑users. - hashtag#Decarbonised gases such as biomethane and synthetic gases can be integrated largely hashtag#costneutrally, building on a well‑developed gas network reinforced by recent PCIs and PMIs investments. 🧩Sector coupling is emerging, at ENTSOG it is already reflected with deliverables and TYNDP 2026 looking at how different energy vectors may fit all together.

📢@ENTSOG releases its Summer Supply Outlook 2026, complemented by an overview of Winter 2026/27, providing a system-wide perspective on seasonal preparedness. As in previous editions, the Outlook is accompanied by the Summer Review 2025. The Summer Supply Outlook analyses injection levels and the potential evolution of #demand, #supply and #exports from 1 April to 30 September 2026, including the role of #LNG under different availability scenarios. 💡Key findings indicate: 📌EU #gasstocks stood at 28% on 1 April 2026, below recent years and similar to pre-energy crisis levels. 📌Initiating the #injection season as early as April and extending it until November would provide greater #flexibility to fill storages ahead of the next winter season. 📌The existing #infrastructure and system operation remain sufficiently flexible - provided adequate gas supplies are secured. 📌Europe will require higher LNG imports and increased infrastructure utilisation to refill gas storages, while #geopolitical tensions are tightening global LNG availability. 📌#Storage plays an essential role in ensuring #securityofsupply, providing seasonal flexibility needed during the winter season. 🗞️Read our Press Release: tinyurl.com/y8fvda3x 👉The Summer Supply Outlook 2026 & Summer Supply Review 2025 reports are available here: tinyurl.com/356hchvz

👥On 23–24 March, @ENTSOG participated in the EU Preparedness, #PreparednessSavesLives , organised by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) in Brussels. 🔎Marking the first anniversary of the European Preparedness Union Strategy, the conference reviewed initial deliverables and progress, and continued engagement on priorities towards an operational Preparedness Union with all stakeholders represented. 🗣️Exchanges highlighted cross‑sector crisis readiness, including wildfire management and lessons learned from Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Four thematic sessions covered population preparedness, civil–military cooperation, public–private cooperation and preparedness‑by‑design. 📌 #Coordination at civilian and Member State level support fast and effective crisis response as the EU is facing a variety of threats, which can also affect security of #energysupply. 👩‍🎓Participants in the Mastery Challenge of the joint @EUI_FSR – @ENTSOG EU Gas Network Codes had the opportunity to explore the #TAR and #CAM NCs and their role in strengthening #SecurityofSupply. 🗣️ Speakers Laurent Percebois and Eric Brands, (ENTSOG), Doug Wood (@energytraderseu), Alessandro Barbiero (@EU_ACER) and Marzia Sesini, PhD (@EUI_FSR) provided their insights and feedback on all submissions. 👏 Many thanks to Marzia Sesini, PhD, Elena Bondesan and Adrien Nicolle for all their support and coordination throughout the 8th edition of this course. 🫵 Thank you to all course participants for your active contributions, and we look forward to next year’s edition!

🎤At the @IENE_official Roundtable on Energy Security in South East Europe, under the auspices of Nikolas Farantouris, Member of the European Parliament, Panagiotis Panousos , @ENTSOG , joined a roundtable on electricity & gas grids to exchange views on how infrastructure resilience and cross‑system coordination can help manage disruptions and market uncertainty. 📉With the region still highly import‑dependent, exposure to global shocks remains a key challenge. 🤝The roundtable sat within IENE’s Regional Energy Security Programme and the “SEE Energy Outlook 2025/2026”. 📢 @ENTSOG published its 5th Implementation and Monitoring Report (IMR) for the Interoperability and Data Exchange Network Code (INT NC). 🔎 Prepared in line with Article 26.7 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1789 and Article 25 of the INT NC, the report monitors the state of implementation across the #EU #gasmarket. 📊 Based on inputs from 36 TSOs in 22 Member States, the IMR confirms that: 1.#gasquality and #data exchange implementation under the INT NC remains robust and highly interoperable. 2.#TSOs cooperate effectively to avoid cross-border flow restrictions. 3.#cross‑border data exchange is largely standardised across the EU network. 👉The report is available on the ENTSOG website: tinyurl.com/4m5fsmyj 🗞️For additional information, read our Press Release: tinyurl.com/nhk48svt

💧@ENTSOG is taking part in the 1st European Hydrogen Regulatory Forum (#H2RegForum), organised by the European Commission, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the opportunities and challenges of developing a robust hydrogen market and regulatory framework in Europe. 👥In Rotterdam, PierreDuvieusart, PiotrKus, and GeorgeWüstner participated to several working sessions discussing: - Regulatory regimes that can adapt to shifting #gas flows and evolving system needs. - The crucial role of energy system #integration, highlighting how existing #gasgrids via repurposing can accelerate the #energytransition. - The continued collaboration with ENNOH to support Europe’s molecules‑based energy system. 💡A clear message emerged: leveraging existing #infrastructure, coordinated #regulation and cross‑sector #cooperation will be essential to support Europe’s #molecules grid and deliver a #competitive, #decarbonised #hydrogen market.

🤝This week, @ENTSOG and @ENNOH met for another joint Board session, reiterating our strong cooperation and shared outlook for the year ahead and beyond!
