I hope you will allow me to share a bit of personal news- sadly we have lost my dear father on May 27, 2024. He was surrounded by his children but is now reunited with my mum Thank you to the many friends & colleagues who have reached out. Your love & sympathy has meant so much.

First year of cardiology fellowship was rather rough for me- many negative life events had impacted my transition from residency to fellowship! Found solace in a mediation program offered at the local monastery twice a week late in the evening! I did that for three years of fellowship and gained deep understanding in the science of meditation and how it enhances your intuitive power and inner joy to greater extent! Since then always wanted to visit the Chung Tai Monastery original branch in Puli, Taiwan. I did that on this birthday. It was so special. Coz of my previous connection- was able to get the tour of this gorgeous monastery by the shifu herself and meditate in the golden dome( seen in the photo)! The energy in of this place is incredible ! Put it on your list to visit if you are even a bit spiritually inclined. PS Taiwan is beautiful- people here are amazing! Thank you all for wonderful birthday wishes. It’s been an honor to be part of this large cardiac community on X !

Perhaps the most important thing to me is this! #ACC24 Time for cardiology and @ACCinTouch to make its own independent board for CV Medicine! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
