I’m convinced ‘comedians’ like this guy genuinely aren’t that right wing, but upon realising that they’re not funny enough to succeed in comedy, spot a niche to exploit, and fall further into the barrel, grifting the bleakest of careers, instead of just moving on with their lives

@_harrymcbeth Agreed. I watched some of this guys stand up out of curiosity. He is genuinely funny with good delivery and I agree it's a shame he took that route. His best material skewers hypocrisy but his sense of irony too frequently deserts him

@_harrymcbeth Agreed! It’s like when below par bands become ‘Christian bands’ because the bar is set a lot lower and, as you said, is niche. I’m very much someone who likes to be offended when watching a comedian but the first thing I ask for? For them to be funny.

@Pulpitude For me the Sisters EP is their actual peak. Seconds is just off the charts! Have always loved Ed Buller's productions from that period - have tried to ape them many times but it still sounds better when he does it🤣

Their best album. Totally unique songs, compressed with a cocktail of sexuality, self-awareness, and suffocated romantic longing. Different Class is stonking yet sands off some edges for mass consumption. For me, this is Pulp Supreme. Awkward, class-aware, driven, fantastic.
