EPWater CEO John Balliew attended the Northwest Area 1 First-Time Water and Wastewater Project Ribbon Cutting yesterday. The collaborative project included EPWater, ARPA, @DigDeepH2O, @ElPasoCounty, @RepEscobar, @CommCoronado, CEA Group and BAIN Construction.

EPWater's Christina Montoya-Halter, Angel Bustamante and PSB Member Dr. Hector Ocaranza represented EPWater in several panels this week at the WateReuse Symposium held in Nevada. The panels focused on efforts to continue educating the public about water reuse. @WateReuseAssoci

There is great progress on the Roberto Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvement Project. The improvements will increase treatment from 39 to 51 million gallons per day. Watch the video bit.ly/4bgXr6u to learn more.

The Pure Water Center is the first of its kind in the country, this innovative facility will transform treated wastewater from the Roberto Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant into fresh drinking water. Click the link to read more bit.ly/3NaaUVG.

Photo of the month was submitted by Devin Chavez, Superintendent of the Fred Hervey Water Reclamation Plant. The photo shows the progress made at the Enhanced Arroyo project in Northeast El Paso. Treated water was released into the arroyo that will help preserve the Hueco Bolson.

We hosted another successful session for our Citizens Academy last week at the Fred Hervey Water Reclamation Plant. Before touring the plant, the group heard from EPWater VP Gilbert Trejo on the upcoming Pure Water Center and CFO Jeff Tepsick on a financial overview of EPWater.

We're excited to invite you to the second annual Landscape Expo at the TecH2O Learning Center on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Come learn about landscape design and gain some handy irrigation tips while the kids enjoy fun garden activities.

There has been steady progress for the Rio Bosque Carbon Sequestration project. Recently, EPWater staff was able to remove and mulch invasive salt cedar to make room for native brushes and shrubs. Check out the video to see all the progress in action!
