Texas-sized water challenges require Texas-sized solutions. That’s why we support Prop 4, which dedicates $1B a year towards building water supplies, fixing leaking systems and protecting communities from floods. #txwater Learn more 👉 bit.ly/3L9yYXh #txlege

There is a lot of buzz around Prop 4. Simply put, Texans will decide if dedicated funds for water infrastructure are a priority this November. We are tackling FAQs. Here are two things to know before you head to the ballot box. texaswater.org/prop4 #txlege #txwatercaucus

Nowhere in Texas is it more clear than right here at home — water is the lifeblood of our communities, our farms, and our economy. With early voting underway, I want to set the record straight on Proposition 4, one of the most important measures on this year’s constitutional amendment ballot. Here are the facts: ✅ Prop 4 dedicates up to $1 billion per year from existing sales tax revenue — not new taxes — to the Texas Water Fund for the next 20 years. ✅ This fund will provide a reliable, long-term source for repairing aging infrastructure, developing new water supplies, and building flood and stormwater systems. ✅ It allows utilities and local governments to plan long-term projects, reduce costs, and improve reliability for Texas families, farmers, and businesses. ✅ Prop 4 strengthens the Texas Water Fund voters approved in 2023 — ensuring that we’re prepared for the next drought, flood, or population surge. ✅ It will not fund groundwater export projects that take water away from rural Texas communities. ✅ It cannot be used to take land for reservoirs, protecting the rights of Texas landowners. For nearly 30 years, lawmakers from both parties have worked to secure a sustainable path forward for Texas water. Prop 4 is the next critical step — a vote to protect our future without raising taxes. Nowhere does this matter more than here in our district, where rice producers and ag communities depend on reliable water to grow, thrive, and feed Texas. #txlege
