Interoception is so important to consider and rarely spoken about or understood in schools. Some of what we might recommend or even do as parents can inadvertently encourage young ppl to disconnect from their body’s natural communication. This is a really helpful video.

I observed a music lesson where the children were singing Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas. It took every fibre in my body not to sing and make suggestions for how to organise their vocals.
