When it’s a Saturday night, most athletes my age are out partying. Not me. I spent my Saturday night working with @EricTallt5 on his stance and technique to prepare him for his 8th grade year of football. Excited to be apart of his development and prepare him for his high school career.

Your son is incredible. The first time I saw him warming up at Decatur, as the backup, I thought we were going to go recruit him and start him over Johnny. Seriously. Our coaches were watching him get the kick returners ready by heaving the ball 50-60 yards for them to field to replicate a potential kick return. Seeing the growth in his mechanics and how he got better and better navigating the pocket last year was very impressive. There are few young men that are easier to advocate for than your son. The portal makes it much tougher on HS QBs, but I have zero doubt that your son will find an unbelievable place to develop in the fall of 2027. I'm happy that, in 2026, Brady will have the kind of weapons Johnny had in 2024. That is a loaded roster and, from what I've witnessed, not many teams play harder than Easton. In 2024, in a 35-0 game, Easton was hitting hard on every down. That says a lot, to me, about a positive culture. I'm a big fan of how Brian Mooney led his guys at QA, they play football the right way themselves - my favorite player I've seen in the Bayside is Lance Arnold; the personification of Bayside football imo. Blue collar, team first, humble. I don't know a lot about the Easton coaches and their development, but I've seen them on recruiting trips which is pretty cool ... not all HS coaches will invest a day of their lives into taking kids to a college campus. I do know the Decatur coaches, and I do not like them.

@rpmooney3 @Overtime_Live I can only speak from firsthand experience, but my son has grown considerably under the Easton coaching staff. We’ve found them to be supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in developing young men, not just football players. We’re excited for what’s ahead.

Breaking News: OTL can confirm independent of his X post today that RB @JazirDickerson2 is now an Easton Warrior. The former Colonel Richardson player joins former Queen Anne's WR Jadereon Thompson who also transferred to Easton recently. Thompson and Dickerson are two of the best offensive players in the Bayside. Jackson thrived in the unique tight formation Double Wing offense at Colonel under HC James Jackson. But it wasn't just scheme, he is an extremely talented runner that could start for any team in the Conference. Just like Thompson, Dickerson plays basketball and runs track. The Warriors will be a must see this season on offense. The Warriors return 2.5 starters on the O-Line from last season and QB Brady Walls. Unlike Thompson where there was a coaching change at Queen Anne's, Colonel returns their HC. Obviously a tough loss for Colonel who has completely turned their program around in the last decade. Easton visits Colonel Week 1 to start the season, which will certainly make for an interesting game.
