Oh no... oh no Vox... oh no, why are you doing this?? This is the kind of click-bait YouTube title you'd expect from "10 tips on cleaning your cast iron skillet" not an issue as rife with dis- and mis-information as climate change...

I know that noon is 12:00 PM and midnight is 12:00 AM but if I have to set an alarm I still set it for 11:59 just to be sure which I feel may be diagnostically relevant.

@DavidLenigas @barrywin1965 Nice! Impressive connections to Sumitomo Electric. Shame the VRB was the wrong horse to back for stationary energy storage.

@barrywin1965 Thanks. I love fuel cells. It was me that commercialised globally the Vanadium Redox Battery from the Uni of NSW in the 1990s. At the heart of the tech was the 250 KW fuel cell. By product for hydrogen units is - energy plus water.

I’ve been asked to head up a new Public company with a massive push into HYDROGEN. I’m looking forward to it as I know more than most globally about commercial commercial fuel cell tech. It is the future. 👍

With #tallymoney account there are no hidden bank fees, no transaction costs, no added margins on FX rates, just 1% per annum calculated daily charged monthly, to use money in a bank account that protects and benefits the customer, not the bank. The real solution for savvy savers

IHS Markit has begun the residential #energystorage shipment data collection for the first quarter 2021. I would like to invite residential system suppliers to submit data. Please checkout this article I wrote for PV magazine on the energy storage market: lnkd.in/eCQpbaj

@MaxPyziur @Sonalcpatel As if you have say 500,000 the demand on the grid would reduce significantly as well. The influence of other batteries or other generation would "bridge the gap" and mitigate the need for such a ramp in the evenings.

@MaxPyziur @Sonalcpatel You are comparing a huge power demand with a small batteries output. Put it this way if most houses in CA had their own battery (5kW) and charged from excess solar on their roofs. 3 million batteries are needed. However this is not actually true...

The 300-MW/1,200-MWh Moss Landing #EnergyStorage Facility Phase 1 project is housed inside a “completely refurbished former turbine building” at the two-unit gas-fired Moss Landing site, and it spans “the length of nearly three football fields.” powermag.com/vistra-energiz…

@MaxPyziur @Sonalcpatel As in respond with that volume. A battery rated 10 mw / 40 mwh (4 hour duration) can only deliver 10 mw as the pcs is the limiter...in some cases it can be overclocked so up to 20mw so full capacity delivered in 2 hours.

@EStorageMike @Sonalcpatel The ramp rate for natural gas-fired CCGT is 40 MW a minute; the ramp rate for coal and nuke-powered plants is about 4 MWs. So then, how quickly can batteries deliver their full 4-hour capacity. 1\x

@MaxPyziur @Sonalcpatel Is that a request for a definition or asking what it actually is? A) ramp rate = response time to deliver the required power output B) most likely to be sub-second

@MaxPyziur @Sonalcpatel It means that a power output of 300 MW can be delivered for 4 hours (300 MW x 4 hours = 1,200 MW hours [MWh]) MWh = storage, MW = power or "generation" although it doesn't generate as it's a battery.
