On October 27, ELCIC National Bishop Susan Johnson preached at Congregacion Filadelfia, one of 14 congregations that make up the Iglesia Lutherana del Peru (IL-P). IL-P is a partner church of the ELCIC and is also a companion synod partner of the BC Synod.

We were excited to welcome the @ESynodELCIC Candidacy Committee, Examining Committee & new Synod Bishop Carla Blakley to Luther! They joined us for a class discussion, followed by great conversation on how we can continue working alongside one another to support our students!

Today marked Doug's last day in the Eastern Synod Office. We give thanks for the many gifts he has shared with our Synod over the past 11 years in this role. Doug's ministry is one of profound pastoral care, exceptional mentorship, passionate preaching, and deep faith. #myelcic
