@ETFAndChill i’m trying to get a paid internship right now. I just applied at Charles Schwab. Actually I’m working in retail currently. I’ve thought about doing Uber eats or DoorDash. I live in a very high traffic area with a bunch of tolls. Wen factoring the expenses. It’s not too much prof.

@boltqt Can you try to land a paid internship in the finance field while you’re going to school? Or any Uber, Uber Eats, Door Dash possibilities for side cash

@ETFAndChill True , I’m trying too. I’m very disciplined with my spending just the lower income is bothering me at the moment , i’m looking for a new main gig or a side gig

@boltqt I hear ya. I hope the best for you sir. Idk if that helps your mental, but when I get in those spots I try to stack as much as I possibly can just in savings. It’s like a mental buffer that reduces my stress levels knowing I’m okay

@SparkingFIRENC They make a killing off our mortgage interest for sure. Other than that interchange fees are the only other thing I see other than selling my data most likely

@ETFAndChill I wonder how much revenue Chase makes off a client like this in a year

What I love about Chase is all these are in 1 account with me and my wife: - Checking - Savings - Credit Cards - Mortgage - Taxable Brokerage Acct - Roth IRA’s And physical branches everywhere. HYSA with Capital One. That’s the only thing Chase sucks on.

@InvestingAddict I think it helps our mortgage is with them as well. Just very easy to manage everything in one spot. And like today, buying a vehicle. Quick and easy to stop at a branch and get a cashiers check. I can’t do that with Cap1 or online banks

@ETFAndChill I like Chase and the J.P. Morgan platform. I transferred investments out just for the Robinhood perks. Their customer service is great.

@boltqt I mean that’s wildly ahead of like 98% of 20 year olds. If incomes the issue you can always learn a trade or get a degree in a well paying field

@ETFAndChill man i feel so behind i have 5 figs in investments 11 k in a HYSA just got into this financing it , i just kept raising the bar it’s gotten unhealthy and im chasing more, the only problem is my income is very LOW

@boltqt You got plenty of time man! At 20 years old my income was $0

@InvestingAddict lol just introduce them to me 🤷🏼‍♂️ At the same time I would’ve laughed at me at age 20. I was deep in chasing hype tickers too at that age

When you see another 20 year old blow their portfolio buying individual stocks and it’s time to introduce them to $VOO and chill.

@TheFinPitch We did! Ended up financing 10k of it breaking my no car loans rule but hey, not a massive deal I’m happy

Full transparency: I did break my own rule here. $30,200 out the door. We put 20k down, financed the remainder. Baby incoming wanted to keep cash on hand higher. Plan is get rid of the rest in the next 6 months. Cheers!
