Last week, @isostandards 𝐓𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟒 𝐖𝐆𝟏𝟒 committee met in Berlin 🇩🇪 at VDA offices to discuss & progress upcoming international standards on #selfdriving vehicles. We are entering a key phase in the #AutomatedVehicle standardisation journey, with focus shifting to robotaxi standards & updates to collision mitigation standards. We also kick-started drafting of the new work item on Remote-Support for selfdriving vehicles. Lots more to come... As I always say, standardisation is a collaborative endeavour. As my first & home ISO committee, always grateful to the incredible support, guidance, and collaboration from the WG14's global experts. Together with Halima El Badaoui, had the privilege to present our research on 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞-𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐕𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 and Crowd sourcing 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭. Earlier this week, had a timely & poignant discussion with colleagues at @imperialcollege Centre for Sectoral Performance (CSEP) on revitalising the UK automotive sector's GVA. My big point: the UK needs to start picking winners, especially for the mega trends! CSEP has been created with the generous support from the @GatsbyEd & Lord Sainsbury to help revitalise the UK's GVA output. At @wmgwarwick, we are pleased to be collaborating with the CSEP team on helping design the automotive sector interventions in the age of Software Defined Vehicles.
