Fair point — abstractions can reduce friction but they shouldn’t replace understanding. Almost 10 years later and this still reads like the future... still waiting at the station... Big visions age slower than timelines.

Ambition to explore the stars is inspiring, and space absolutely expands what humanity can learn. But breakthroughs don’t only come from leaving Earth — fundamental physics, biology, and computing advances still happen in labs here every day. Earth is our launchpad, not a limitation. The two should progress together, not compete.

Expand consciousness to the stars to understand the universe. The limiting factors for discovering new physics are colliders and telescopes, which move at the speed of a committee of governments. That is why I decided against a career in physics, even though I love physics. What can be learned on Earth is insignificant compared to what can be learned beyond Earth.

It’s not mysterious that Elon expects Grok to solve physics. He says that. That doesn’t mean he expects it to solve warp drive or break the laws of physics. Consciousness can reach the stars without faster than light travel. It will seem slow to us, but fast on cosmic time scales. Corruption of science is not the problem. Elon isn’t interested in scientists and researchers because they don’t get things done. Engineers get things done.

“Building in public” is wildly overrated—and for most people, it’s a bad play. You’re trudging through uncertainty with no safety net, absorbing every mistake in real time, while spectators dressed up as supporters quietly study your breakthroughs and replicate them. Most of the time, there’s no credit, no upside, and no protection—just exposure. The people who actually dominate industries didn’t get there by turning on a ring light and sharing “3 lessons from today’s strategy call.” Power players move differently. They hide the real recipe. The true leverage—the systems, insights, and mechanisms that matter—gets locked behind NDAs, patents, trademarks, and silence. Take yesterday, for example: Meta acquired Manus in a deal rumored to be around $2 billion. No teasers. No breadcrumbs. No public brainstorming. You didn’t see Zuckerberg crowd-sourcing the decision on Instagram stories. The announcement blindsided the AI world—and that’s exactly how serious moves are made. Social platforms subtly push the idea that you should always be visible, always sharing, always narrating your journey. That’s not for your benefit. It’s because your constant output fuels their ad machine with free content. In the real world, empires aren’t built through transparency—they’re protected through discretion. That alone should make it clear who these platforms actually serve. The takeaway: protect what you’re building, or someone else will clone it, outrun you with it, or undermine it. Is that cynical? Maybe. But that is the mindset wins. I believe in you 🫵🏽
