On Zayed Humanitarian Day, we reflect on the enduring legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, whose values of compassion, resilience, and care for people guide our nation, especially in challenging times. His vision reminds us that humanity and solidarity will always prevail.

We announced today, in honour of Zayed Humanitarian Day, the donation of Family Iftar Boxes to those in need across Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and in the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the Year of Family. Through this partnership, we ensured that essential food supplies reach beneficiary families, providing practical support that enables them to observe the Holy Month with dignity and ease. Dr. Faisal Obaid, Chief Corporate Support Officer at EWEC, said: “Zayed Humanitarian Day serves as a poignant reminder of the UAE’s enduring commitment to compassion and the welfare of others. Our people are the foundation of our achievements. We recently came together for a company Away Day at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, a day to celebrate our success, strengthen teamwork, unwind, and enjoy fun activities. We recently celebrated a key milestone at Al Ajban Solar PV with the successful installation of the first solar panel, officially marking the start of the project’s main construction phase. Delivered in partnership with @Masdar, EDFMiddleEast, and KOWEPO, the 1.5 gigawatt Al Ajban Solar PV is set to become one of the world’s largest single-site solar power plants. The project will deploy around 3 million solar panels, generating clean electricity for approximately 160,000 homes across the UAE. Once operational, the plant is expected to prevent the release of more than 2.4 million tonnes of CO2 annually, contributing to the decarbonisation of Abu Dhabi’s energy sector and advancing the UAE’s clean energy ambitions. #RenewableEnergy #EnergyTransition #Sustainability احتفلنا مؤخراً بتركيب أول لوح شمسي في مشروع محطة العجبان للطاقة الشمسية الكهروضوئية، بما يمثل تدشين المرحلة الرئيسية من أعمال تنفيذ المشروع بشكل رسمي. يتم تنفيذ مشروع محطة العجبان للطاقة الشمسية الكهروضوئية بقدرة 1.5 جيجاوات بالشراكة مع "مصدر"، وشركة "إي دي إف"، و"شركة كوريا ويسترن باور"، لتصبح بذلك واحدة من أكبر المحطات المستقلة للطاقة الشمسية في العالم. ويتكون المشروع من حوالي 3 ملايين لوح شمسي، لتوليد كهرباء نظيفة تكفي لتزويد حوالي 160,000 منزل في جميع أنحاء دولة الإمارات. ومن المتوقع أن تسهم المحطة بمجرد تشغيلها، في خفض أكثر من 2.4 مليون طن متري من انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون في أبوظبي سنويًا، بما يدعم أهداف إزالة الكربون من قطاع الطاقة في أبوظبي، وتعزيز طموحات الدولة في مجال الطاقة النظيفة. #الطاقة_المتجددة #انتقال_الطاقة #الاستدامة
