If you are traveling today or tomorrow, please arrive to the airport 4 hours early. We have not previously experienced checkpoint wait times similar to what we are seeing this morning. Travelers most impacted are those departing from Concourses A, B and C.

In 2021, Quinn was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma. Through a clinical trial for CAR T-cell therapy, his tumor began shrinking almost immediately. Today—nearly a year later—it continues to shrink. Breakthroughs like this happen because of investments in medical research.

I, like so many people I respect and love, was laid off today. What an incredible honor it was to spend 12 years there. I am so grateful for everyone who read and encouraged and lived seasons with us. I am so sad the Post sports family won’t be there to live it with you again.

Did you see the great news in Alzheimer’s diagnostics last week? 🎉 The FDA has approved a blood test for early assessment by detecting pTau-181. This could lead to faster, less invasive testing for cognitive decline. #Alzheimers #BrainHealth Learn more: cnn.com/2025/10/13/hea…

This is a remarkable statistic: 18.7 million out of the 24.3 million Obamacare enrollees are in states won by President Trump in 2024.

It is unfortunate that the Secretary just canceled a half a billion worth of work, wasting the money which is already invested. He has also conceded to China an important technology needed to combat cancer and infectious disease. President Trump wants to Make America Healthy Again and Make America Great Again. This works against both of President Trump’s goals. forbes.com/sites/siladity…

We just met with staff of @SenJohnHoeven (where we also met Earl the Bison) as part of a Coalition for @healthfunding day on the Hill to make clear: public health funding must reflect the scale of our nation’s challenges. No cuts. #FundHealth

This angle has gotten little coverage. The CBO score of the Medicaid provisions (in a footnote) specifies that 1.3 million "dual eligibles" (i.e. seniors/PWDs who have Medicare and Medicaid) -- will lose Medicaid. Why have both? To cover cost-sharing and/or long term care.
Jonathan Cohn@CitizenCohn

Trump's tax cut legislation would trigger $500B in Medicare cuts, CBO says And that's *in addition* to the hit some seniors would take because of Medicaid cuts washingtonpost.com/business/2025/…
