There will be a day, someday soon, where the men who built this machine to murder and oppress American citizens will face justice. Whether it happens in a courtroom is the only matter in dispute.

@elonmusk Elmo apparently never bothered to learn the Constitution when he came here as an immigrant, pretending he would be a student . He does not like America . It's clearly time to revoke his citizenship & deport him .

@peterbakernyt @lukebroadwater @alanfeuer If the New York Times news reporters & editorial writers had been allowed or willing to write with this kind of conviction & clarity for the past ten years, the United States might not be approaching the Constitutional catastrophe that we & the world now face . @nytimes

In a breathtaking reversal of reality, Trump uses a taxpayer funded White House website to whitewash the history of Jan. 6, blaming Capitol Police, Democrats and Pence -- everyone but himself and the mob that stormed the Capitol. @lukebroadwater @alanfeuer nytimes.com/2026/01/06/us/…

@Earth_Media_ @archeohistories I have Obama care because it’s good. I also like to work. Don’t overlook that many people actually do not want to work; some choose to be homeless. I’ve met them. U should acknowledge other countries are extremely different. We all can’t be each other, can we?

“The Crawlers”, 1877. ‘The Crawlers’ were the lowest of the British poor. This elderly widow is sitting outside a tailor’s shop, holding a baby while its mother works. She was given a cup of tea and a slice of bread daily in return. The photograph titled “The Crawlers” was taken in 1877 and captures one of the harshest realities of Victorian poverty in London. The term “crawlers” referred to some of the most destitute people in society — often the elderly, widowed, or disabled, who were too frail to work and forced to rely on scraps of charity to survive. They were called “crawlers” because many were so weakened by hunger, disease, or age that they could only move slowly, often crawling or dragging themselves along the streets. In this haunting image, an elderly widow sits outside a tailor’s shop, cradling an infant. The baby’s mother, likely a working-class woman struggling to make ends meet, left her child in the widow’s care while she labored inside. The widow’s payment for this exhausting responsibility was meager: a cup of tea and a slice of bread a day. Such arrangements were common, as survival for the poorest relied on fragile networks of mutual aid and the charity of others. This photograph is more than a snapshot, it is a window into the crushing inequalities of Victorian society. While industrial Britain was generating immense wealth, many of its citizens were trapped in cycles of poverty, living day to day on the edge of survival. Social reformers later used photographs like this as evidence to push for changes in housing, sanitation, and welfare laws, laying the groundwork for Britain’s eventual social safety nets. © Historical Photos #archaeohistories

@wardjunior @archeohistories Yeah, we see . You pretended that there aren't real, practical, affordable plans to help poor & hard working people not have to live constantly stress filled lives . Plans like health care for all & a decent minimum wage . Plans that other wealthy nations have successfully done .

@archeohistories Stop talking smack about Victorian or American values …. As if EVERY nation on the planet didn’t have their own poor. Yes, we should help the hardworking class poor folks.. BUT stop bitching without a solution. Build a plan and share it. < see what I did there ??

⚡️ BREAKING: Zelenskyy says Ukraine wanted NATO from the start, but the US and some European countries did not support it. He says bilateral US security guarantees modeled on NATO’s Article 5, backed by Europe and others, are already a compromise by Ukraine, and that US Congress approval is crucial.

@washingtonpost I realize the Post no longer employs enough competent journalists to accurately cover news that offends the individual currently residing at what's left of the White House. But the incompetence here is stunning. It's the UN Climate Conference. Not the US . #TheWashingtonBezost

Let me level with you the way I’d level with a client sitting across my desk: 1. While she may very well be a very nice woman, she is clearly not the "world's expert on narcissists. (although, she may well appreciate you...bestowing her with that title.) 2. She’s not entirely wrong…but she’s running a mile past the facts...and sprinting straight into the land of mythology...not psychology. And if you want to understand narcissists...and more importantly, protect yourself from them...you can’t afford to build your worldview on myths...exaggerations...or sci-fi explanations. That’s...how people get blindsided. So here’s where her analysis goes off the rails...point by point. 1. “They have no emotions.” Wrong. Flat-out. Narcissists and psychopaths have emotions...strong ones...they’re just not the kinds most people lead with. They experience: rage humiliation envy agitation excitement grandiosity impulsive thrill-seeking What they lack is emotional regulation...not emotional circuitry. Psychology 101. 2. “They don’t experience fear or shame.” Also wrong. Narcissists experience intense fear and shame, but here’s the twist: They experience them so painfully…so overwhelmingly… that their entire personality becomes one big armored suit designed to avoid those feelings at all costs. They’re dominated by shame. Not immune to it. 3. “They’re motivated only by sadism and control.” This is where the movies have rotted people’s brains. Yes...narcissists crave control. Yes...some enjoy causing pain when their ego is threatened. But their primary motivations are: validation admiration status power image dominance ego-protection fear-avoidance Sadism isn’t the engine...it’s the tantrum. Control isn’t the purpose...it’s the shield. 4. “Higher achievement only happens for control.” Partially true...but still shallow. Narcissists pursue achievement for two reasons: External image maintenance Internal void-avoidance Control is part of it...but not the whole pie. Achievement...especially flashy...public achievement...is a way to outrun the internal collapse...they feel stalking them at all times. It’s not about legacy. It’s about anesthesia 5. “They manipulate because of brain anomalies.” Nope. They manipulate because: it works it gets rewards they practiced it early nobody stopped them they grew up in environments that reinforced it it became their survival strategy Yes...there are neurological correlates. No...the human brain is not a comic-book organ where one “broken part” produces perfect villains. Manipulation is behavioral...not biomechanical destiny. 6. “They’re a different subspecies.” This is where I drop the hammer: No. Absolutely not. Stop right there. Once you start calling people “another species,” you step out of psychology...and wander into the historic territory where atrocities get justified. That's just nutty. They’re not different beings. They’re not monsters. They’re not aliens. They’re humans whose coping mechanisms hardened into a destructive personality structure. They didn’t hatch from a reptile egg. They were shaped.. 7. The part she misses entirely: Narcissists are predictable...not supernatural. When you think they’re emotionless demons with “anomalous brains,” you make them sound mystical...and unbeatable. They’re not. They’re: fragile reactive predictable humiliationally sensitive ego-addicted desperate for image-maintenance constantly scanning for threats to their status The entire narcissistic personality is one giant “avoid humiliation at all costs” operating system. That’s the key. Not brain anomalies. Not sadism. Not subspecies mythology. Understand that...and you understand everything about how they behave. P.S. You're welcome. 😎

See all the bluesky greens trashing Bill Gates for pressing the case for resilient development as a core climate strategy (i.e. what is often shorthanded as #adaptation) I think back to @algore's learning curve from 1990 to 2013...
