The secret night life of Earthwise barn owls! This photo was taken in the White Barn. It will give us some idea of the owls' night time activity, and which owl is doing most of the foraging. One female spent 45 minutes on the window ledge preening and posturing recently!

Thanks very much to our fabulous volunteers, Dave and Boris, for taking down the greenhouse so it can be relocated to a concrete pad.

Wise words to heed this time of year on the Wet, er, West Coast of Canada. Thanks, BBCT! #GardenTogether PS: Nice #bumblebee too!

#GardenTogether 🐝 Fix up your gardening tools this winter! Time to get those secateurs sharpened, wash your gardening gloves and fix other equipment suffering loose screws or wobbly handles. Sharpening your tools is better for your plants as a clean cut will help prevent disease

Day 327 ~ Get Growing: Plan(t) for pollinators in fall and winter Loosen up your grip on the clippers and leave some leaf litter, brush or rock piles in unobtrusive corners to create nesting spots, and skip the traditional fall cleanup. Welcome the wild! bit.ly/FTBDay327

Day 325 ~ Building for bees On balance, #bee houses offer a great way to invite this hidden universe into your landscape. At the very least, putting a #beehouse in your #garden offers a constructive and educational distraction from pandemic blues. bit.ly/FTBDay325
