The secret night life of Earthwise barn owls!
This photo was taken in the White Barn. It will give us some idea of the owls' night time activity, and which owl is doing most of the foraging.
One female spent 45 minutes on the window ledge preening and posturing recently!

How many of these winter-flowering plants do you have? They can be vital nectar-pitstops for winter-active bumblebees who need lots of energy while they are not in hibernation. Some bumblebees may have been disturbed from hibernation or may even be setting up a winter nest!🌼🐝
