@CollinRugg And this is why AI is so terrifying and should not be accessed by regular people. This technology needs to be strictly regulated and access be strictly limited.

NEW: Middle school teacher accused of using AI to generate CSAM of kids between the ages of infant & 12 years old before pleasuring himself to the images at work. 47-year-old Matthew Lund was a science teacher at Andersen Middle School in Omaha, Nebraska. Prosecutors say they found 423 artificially generated images. "[There are] 104 files consistent with CSAM … depicting ranging from infant to approximately 12 years old," prosecutors said. "The defendant then admitted to generating the [CSAM] of prepubescent children and m*sturbating to them while at work, at which he is a middle school science teacher." Lund is facing a maximum sentence of 50 years. Horrific.

@dhe3g Kids need to be taught that there is no such thing as a free lunch in life. Someone is paying for it. Letting them go hungry a few days a year is a lesson we'll taught.

@bumbadum14 Whenever I need something I go to Target in Eagle Rock. Nothing is behind glass. I never order from Amazon. I use Uber and Lyft alot and I get a White driver about 50% of the time.

Nothing fucking works anymore. Every flight is delayed. Every Amazon order is delayed. Every uber driver is African. Every store has a glass over everything. Everything fucking sucks and it’s all more expensive. I can’t go to a store and just buy what I need anymore. No I have to order it on Amazon and then wait 4 days (delayed for a week) because retail doesn’t exist anymore. Just fucking awful.

@vyvansefangirl it is very hard to believe but afterwards the cop started showing them a video of himself on Worldstar arresting someone which I did film and feel I can share without catching an obstruction of justice charge

People move out from CA to places like Austin and Nashville so they can afford the image on the left while our politicians (and pro-housing people) are busy figuring out how to build more of the right

@GuntherEagleman Wait until these people see their first property tax bill if they choose to buy a home in Texas Homewoner insurance rates are 3x more than California and electricity rates are also high. The major cities are surrounded by toll roads.

🚨 CALIFORNIA TO TEXAS EXODUS EXPLODES: Another 77,000+ people fled California for Texas in 2024 alone. Why? High taxes, rampant crime, zero support for law enforcement, and endless radical liberal policies destroying the Golden State. Californians are literally voting with their U-Haul trucks, escaping Gavin Newsom’s failing socialist experiment for freedom and opportunity in Texas. This isn’t a “trend.” It’s a full-blown mass migration away from blue hellholes. Texas is winning. California is collapsing.

@GoodVibePolitik All forms of online gambling need to be strictly banned. If you want to gamble legally, drive to a physical casino and place your bets. We now have physical casinos in 48 states.

Honestly great position. Online gambling and the concept of bringing the casino into every home in the U.S. has done untold harm to the finances of families nationwide and preyed on addiction as a means of making profit. Banning it is a policy any progressive should support.

Chris Rabb, PA-03 candidate, says he wants to ban prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket "It's a poverty tax. And I'm anti-poverty. The last thing we need is more iterations of gaming at the expense of folks who are already on the margins. And there's a lot of influence in those industries on campaigns. Did I mention that I don't take corporate PAC money?"

I just voted yes to approve the new K-Line North Metro Line. If you live in West Hollywood and work in Century City, there will be a train for you. If you are a nurse in South Los Angeles commuting to Cedars-Sinai for work, or want to go to the Hollywood Bowl for a show, there will be a train for you. If you want to go see the Kehinde Wiley sculpture coming to Destination Crenshaw and then go to the new David Geffin Galleries at LACMA, there will be a train for you. And if you want to live near that train, there should also be housing that is actually affordable for you. That is the kind of Los Angeles I believe in, and that is the Los Angeles we are building.

@lalovestrump I'm staying. My house will be paid off in 5 years and my property taxes are held in check by Prop.13 I deal with the $4 a gallon gas by driving a hybrid car that gets 55mpg and I buy things at the grocery store when they go on sale and I buy from Costco.

As millions of Californians are on the verge to lose their healthcare, the time for single-payer healthcare is now! We need a Democratic Party who will actually fight for needs of working people, not listen to their pharma and health insurance donors.

It's rare to get to hear from homeless services workers, esp. amid the fraught politics of homelessness. But as layoffs loom, they've released open letters sharing their side. The latest came before it was announced 284 of them will get layoff notices: docs.google.com/document/d/124…
