American Foulbrood (AFB) has been detected in a colony of honey bees in an apiary near Blairgowrie, Perthshire. The infected colony will be destroyed and beekeepers within a 3km radius are being encouraged to increase their biosecurity. Read more➡️bit.ly/3G2gq4H









Snapshot in a second box!! Some Not seen a year quite like it for Heather for some time. Although we've been ontop of varroa and 80% of colonies to the heather have this years queens so something has made a difference. Hope the next ones turn out like it!









An early start this morning to get the hives moved up to the heather. Still another 2 hives to go but they are working lime trees for another week or so. All unloaded & set up just in time for the ☀️ coming through the cloud. Bell heather is out & Ling is not far away. 🍯🐝🍯
