@BBGreatMoments Yes. If they threw to third the run wouldn’t score but since they threw to 1st it’s a timing play and the run scored before the final out was made.

The pitcher caught the ball and doubled off the runner at first. Does the run count?

Bob Gibson discussing Steroids & the Steroid Era. "I'm just glad that I didn't have to make that decision on whether to do it or not. Probably would've done it, I don't know. I'd like to think I wouldn't have, but I don't know if I'm that strong. If I thought someone was getting an edge on me and I found a way that I could get it back, maybe I would. Dunno."

Barry Bonds Interview.. 👇🏼🔥 - When he was a hitting coach.. - He bet the player $1k he couldn't to line out to the infield as hard as he could.. - Next at-bat, a homerun that nearly left the stadium - "You gotta shift their brain a little bit to effect mechanics"

Aaron Judge is telling the public what he wants the Yankees to do. Set aside all the generic public relations statements that Judge has mastered as well as Derek Jeter did, this season, he has made two very calculated statements. The first, if you remember, was to keep Aaron Boone. The second was an open shot at the front office - Brian Cashman's front office, at that - that there needs to be sweeping changes. In case you forgot, here's that Boone quote from 18 days ago. This is the Andy Martino SNY article it came from: "On Thursday, I posed the question this way: If and when you are asked by Hal if Boone is the right manager for this team going forward, what will you say? "I added that I'd understand if Judge didn't want to answer the question publicly. ""No," he said. "I want to answer that. I've been with Boonie all the way since 2018. He's the guy." "Why? ""He has been there for us in good times and bad times," Judge said. "The guy shows up and supports his players. You can probably tell by the amount of times he's been thrown out of games that he always has our back."" That was a vote of confidence for his skipper. Yesterday, Judge set a different tone for the front office. "We've got a lot to work on, a lot of things to change, and a lot of stuff going on around here that needs to be fixed." He added: "I've got some ideas. It's gonna take all of us, it's gonna be talking with everybody in the organization, all the way down through the minor leagues." One of the points I saw when Judge first made the Boone quote was that he would never throw anybody under the bus. From how he talked about the front office, it's clear that the endorsement for his manager was a ringing one. A blessing is hollow when the person doing it has never publicly had a bad word about anybody. His getting on how the organization is run changes all that now. It's clear what he wants and what he doesn't. To me, both quotes are connected, and it feels like Judge was calculated in when he said them. These frustrations have been brewing, and the day you're eliminated from the postseason is the best time to take your shots. "Fire Brian Cashman night" was a bust - one where the prominent image of the bleachers was a string of letters that read "FIRE CAM." Judge never used the words "Fire Cashman," but this was a more effective message - hopefully one that doesn't fall on deaf ears. Plus, you have to think if Cash doesn't throw Judge's contract statement out in the open, maybe these blessings and these shots would be more private. I'm sure all these statements were 95% him wanting things to get done and 5% petty.

🔥 @RobertKennedyJr Was Just Given 5 Full Minutes to Unload the Truth About Vaccine Safety Before Congress After getting sued heavily for the DTP vaccine, Wyeth (now Pfizer) went to the Reagan White House and demanded liability protections with the threat of getting out of the vaccine business. President Reagan asked Wyeth why they couldn’t make safer vaccines. Wyeth answered that they couldn’t because vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe.” And so, anybody who claims vaccines are safe and effective, the industry itself got immunity from liability by convincing President Reagan and Congress that vaccines are “unavoidably unsafe.” ------------------------------ Share this message. Infielders, when I'm scouting, I'm evaluating you between innings. If your throws between innings as your first baseman rolls you GB's are in the dirt, up the line, high, your stock plummets. You are literally being scouted every time you touch the ball. #ItAllMatters
