Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

China and Russia are not trying to save Iran emotionally. They are using Iran strategically. Their goal is very simple, they want the U.S. exhausted, distracted, and weakened. They want America stuck in another Middle East crisis. They want U.S. military attention diverted from Ukraine, Taiwan, and the Indo-Pacific. They want Gulf countries to question whether America is still a stabilising force or the biggest source of instability. That is why Russia and China are not directly entering the war. Because from their point of view, the best outcome is not to fight the U.S. directly. The best outcome is to let the U.S. burn its money, military strength, credibility, and global influence slowly. They want America tired. They want America stretched. They want America weak. And that is exactly what is happening.

I have instructed our representatives to contact the team of the President of the United States and clarify the details of Russia’s proposal for a short-term ceasefire. Ukraine seeks peace and is doing the necessary diplomatic work to bring this war to a real end. We will clarify what exactly this is about – a few hours of security for a parade in Moscow, or something more. Our proposal is a long-term ceasefire, reliable and guaranteed security for people, and a lasting peace. Ukraine is ready to work toward this in any dignified and effective format.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump just decided how this war ends, and it's not how anyone expected... Trump has reportedly told his aides to prepare for an extended U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The president apparently sees both available off-ramps, pulling out of the conflict entirely or resuming combat operations, as carrying significantly more risk than maintaining the current naval blockade indefinitely. This follows separate reporting that the intelligence community was directed to assess the risks of declaring unilateral victory and pulling back from the conflict. Both data points point in the same direction. Trump is choosing to settle into the standoff rather than force a resolution either way. The logic is brutal but coherent. Resuming bombing burns through more JASSM-ER missiles the Pentagon can't replace for years, risks more American casualties, drives oil even higher heading into midterms, and almost certainly fails to extract the nuclear concession Iran refuses to make. Walking away with no deal hands Iran a clean political victory and tells every adversary that American military pressure can be outwaited. Maintaining the blockade keeps the pressure on Tehran, slowly degrades the Iranian economy, and preserves Trump's leverage for whenever a real diplomatic opening emerges. But there's a real cost to "indefinite blockade" as a strategy. American gas prices already at $4.18 don't ease while the Strait stays effectively closed. Fertilizer prices stay 90% above pre-war levels. Global supply chains stay fractured. The Iran war might be morphing into a permanent low-intensity confrontation, with the U.S. Navy enforcing a blockade in perpetuity while Iran keeps boarding ships, deploying cyber attacks, and waiting for the political pressure on Trump to crack first. Does everyone understand Iran’s latest offer to the U.S., opening the Straits and delaying discussions of a nuclear deal, will never be accepted by Trump? They’re literally asking him to completely surrender and walk away, with no win, not even optically, while they control the world’s most important energy chokepoint t Have they gone mad? There is no way Trump will accept this. Not sure why the media is twisting this development into some positive news

There will be no deal with Iran for these simple reasons: - If Iran controls passage through the strait of Hormuz the petrodollar system and gulf countries are done. - Iran will soon develop a nuclear weapon if it hasn't one already. Israel will never accept this. There is no deal.

Atiku secured Kwankwaso’s transition to the ADC. 5. Atiku brought Rotimi Amaechi into the ADC. 6. Atiku convinced Sen. David Mark to join the ADC alliance. 7. Atiku brought Rauf Aregbesola into the ADC. 8. Atiku secured Sen. Tambuwal’s entry into the ADC. 9. Now, in a masterstroke, Atiku Abubakar has brought the entire PDP into the coalition. 10. No politician in Nigeria today can rival Atiku’s immense influence and political charisma. 11. An Atiku Presidency is now inevitable. The Unifier for a reason! #TheAtikuMovement

After a long time, I agree with Trump. Trump says the U.S. has all the cards, and honestly, on paper, that’s true. Iran is already heavily damaged, leadership hit, infrastructure shaken, economy under pressure. It’s at a stage where it has very little left to lose. Which is exactly what makes it dangerous. Because when you have nothing to lose, you don’t play to win anymore, you play to raise the cost. So if the U.S. decides to go all in, yes, it can crush Iran quickly, even take control in weeks. But in that process, oil routes get disrupted, the Gulf becomes unstable, energy prices spike, and inflation hits the entire world. What looks like a “cakewalk” militarily turns into a very expensive global problem. And that’s where the real story lies. Even if the U.S. escalates and destroys what’s left, it doesn’t automatically mean Iran lost. Sometimes winning isn’t about surviving, it’s about forcing the other side to pay so much that the victory doesn’t feel like one. That’s why in my view, Iran has already changed the game. And when you fight till the end without backing down, the definition of winning itself starts to shift, even if Iran gets destroyed, it has already won by costing US billions.

Trump will not attack Iran because there is nothing left in Iran for him to attack and put pressure on. The attacks are only making Iran stronger. Trump will try to cripple Iran financially by cutting off all sources of income, but only until Iran reaches an agreement. #Iran #USA

Iran is saying removal of naval blockade is precondition for talk. Trump says only naval blockade would make Iran suffer economically to come for negotiations. We don't know who is going to blink first. Iran can wait longer. Trump cannot wait for long due to various reasons like domestic politics, inflation increasing, yields going up, pressure from gulf allies and so on. I won't be surprised if US and Israel start bombing Iran again. Iran would then bomb all critical infrastructure in gulf region. It would be a race to bottom. US cannot invade Iran through land. Unless US and Iran find a workable solution, every other option would lead to huge humanitarian and economic crisis. Just hope sense prevails among all concerned.

Negotiations are happening in Pakistan. Let me put it bluntly: The U.S. is the eager party. Iran is the reluctant one. Once Washington realised this war could not deliver its objectives, negotiation became the only off-ramp. But here is the problem: Despite blockades and pressure, Iran is not negotiating from weakness. Hormuz has changed the equation. Its closure doesn’t just hurt Iran, it hits the entire world, including the U.S. Oil flows disrupted. Global markets stressed. The dollar-based system under pressure. This is not a local conflict anymore. It is systemic. Meanwhile, Iran’s asymmetric strategy has delivered a strategic advantage. The war was fought and shaped by the IRGC, and the power it has accumulated will not allow any soft settlement on U.S. terms. So escalation is not an option. A return to war would: raise costs for the U.S. weaken its negotiating position further risk a wider economic shock Which leaves only one path. A negotiated settlement. But not a quick one. Not on U.S. terms. This will take time.

The Iranian foreign minister will not hold any negotiations with the Trump regime in Islamabad and will merely convey Iran’s considerations and views regarding the end of the war to the Pakistani side. This meeting is a response to General Asim Munir’s trip to Tehran, and I have been informed that no negotiations with any Americans are planned during this visit.
