A Tribute to Sheikh Dr. Idris Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi: A Life of Integrity and Legacy! 💔💔💔 By Saleh Shehu Ashaka In the quiet hours of the night, when the world was wrapped in slumber, the news of Sheikh Dr. Idris Abdulaziz Dutsen Tanshi's passing reached us, leaving a profound void in our hearts. It is in these moments of loss that we reflect on the remarkable life he led—a life defined by unwavering integrity, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to his principles. Sheikh Dr. Idris was not just a scholar; he was a beacon of truth and sincerity. His courage to stand by his beliefs, regardless of the challenges, set him apart as a leader of profound conviction. He was a man who embodied the essence of monotheism, living each day with a deep sense of responsibility and purpose. His words were not mere utterances but promises fulfilled, a testament to his straightforward and honest nature. Throughout his life, Sheikh Dr. Idris touched countless lives with his wisdom and compassion. He was a guiding light for many, offering solace and guidance in times of need. His legacy is one of compassion and empathy, a legacy that inspires us to strive for a better world. He lived not for himself but for the greater good, leaving behind a trail of good deeds and a community strengthened by his presence. In his passing, we find ourselves grappling with the loss of a great soul. Yet, we take solace in the belief that his was a worthy exit, a transition to a place of eternal peace and reward. We pray that Allah, in His infinite mercy, grants Sheikh Dr. Idris a place among the righteous, rewards his good deeds, and protects the legacies he so carefully built. May his life continue to inspire us to stand for the good he believed in, to be bold and courageous in our convictions, and to live with sincerity and integrity. As we mourn his departure, let us also celebrate the life he lived—a life well-lived, worthy of emulation. From Allah we come, and to Him we shall all return. In this truth, we find comfort and hope, knowing that Sheikh Dr. Idris's spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Ameen. We’re on our way also.

While Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON was in Abuja today evening, we heard about the emergence of a coronation which is called a "consensus" for all the elective positions in Gombe State. Legally, there can be no valid consensus without involving the aspirants who have obtained or completed their expression of interest and nomination forms. We advise all our supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. However, the total disregard for the provisions of the law cannot be ignored by us. The Nigeria Electoral Act, 2026, outlines the modes of nomination in Section 84 (2): Political parties are restricted to only two methods for selecting candidates in which coronation is not among them. The two methods are: 1) Consensus: A candidate may emerge if all cleared aspirants provide written consent to step down. If even one aspirant refuses, the party must revert to a direct primary. 2) Direct Primaries: Every registered party member has the right to vote directly for their preferred aspirant. The action is completely contrary to the provisions of the law, the directive of the National Party, and the instruction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We urge our supporters to get ready for direct primaries after addressing major challenges in the APC database in the state. Our legal team is also working on addressing the challenges and observations. May Allah bless Gombe State and may Allah bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thank you all. Signed: Professor Suleiman Mohammed From Gombe State. (On Behalf of all Supporters and members of Pantamiyya Movement). 03/May/2026

Gombe APC Announces Dr. Jamilu shaiyaku Gwamna As Consensus Governorship Candidate For 2027 Elections The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has announced Dr. Jamilu shaiyaku Gwamna as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election. The decision was reached at an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting presided over by the party leader and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON. A statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General ( Press Affairs) Government House indicates that the meeting also ratified consensus candidates for the state’s three senatorial districts, six House of Representatives seats and 24 State House of Assembly constituencies. The session was attended by Governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly aspirants, members of the State Working Committee ( EXCO), party elders, and other critical stakeholders, including the Deputy National Financial Secretary of the APC, North East zonal officials of the party, among other senior party figures. The adoption of consensus candidates followed extensive consultations spearheaded by Governor Inuwa Yahaya, involving senior party figures, EXCO members, aspirants and grassroots stakeholders, aimed at deepening internal cohesion, minimizing friction and projecting a united front ahead of the elections. This development builds on earlier series of engagements led by Governor Inuwa Yahaya, who had convened meetings with party elders, members of the State Working Committee, party officials at various levels and other critical stakeholders as part of sustained efforts to consolidate unity and strengthen the party’s structure. Those adopted as candidates across the senatorial and federal constituencies are: Senatorial Candidates Gombe Central - DCP Mohammed Ahmadu Deba Gombe South - Hon. Jerry Damara Gombe North - Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya House of Representatives Candidates Akko Federal Constituency - Hon. Usman Bello Kumo Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency - Hon. Inuwa Garba Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency - Hon. Ali Isa JC Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency - Hon. Fatima Binta Bello Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency - Hon. 🚨 Pep Guardiola is reportedly EXPECTED to step down as Manchester City boss at the end of the season, with Enzo Maresca all but AGREED to take over next season. 👀 This is already the INTERNAL expectation at the club, with discussions even held over naming a stand in Pep’s honour. 📄 An in-depth package has been agreed with Maresca as part of the planned transition, however, a late u-turn by Guardiola could still change things. 🤷🏼‍♂️❤️🤍 Mikel Arteta on why it took so long for Myles Lewis-Skelly to start in midfield: “Probably I don’t have a clue! Maybe I should have done it earlier, I don’t know”. 😁 “It was a big risk, if we lost the game, what would have happened?” 😅
