i think this is a very funny image to attach to this bc like, this is the inflection point. every problem surrounding who part 2 denji is as a person solidifies here, this is like /the/ point where he completely abandons the somewhat existent grounding he had in early part 1 😭

Honestly speaking, the worst thing about part 2 is the assassination of denji's character for me. He used to be one of my favourite but now i genuinely get pissed at what he's become, i can't even enjoy his part 1 self in a vacuum with the context of p2 that's how bad it is.

in fact i’d go as far as to say a lot of people’s grievances are born of them misinterpreting the universe reset. ALL of it still Happened. ALL of it still Mattered. even if they can’t remember it. it still mattered. feelings have carried over.

people are misinterpreting nayuta so badly. she was still raised by denji, even if they can’t remember it. the evidence is in how she is hugely expressive like pt 2 nayuta rather than vacant like end of pt 1 nayuta. denji’s love still shaped who she is in this world.
