The lie: I'm too late.

The Clarity Act just made a major compromise on stablecoin yield, and the way this got resolved might be the biggest win for traditional banks at the expense of crypto innovation that nobody saw coming.
Crypto firms can no longer pay yield on stablecoins just for holding them, which is exactly what banks have been lobbying for behind the scenes for months.
The reason banks fought so hard for this is the same reason they fought money market funds in the 1970s, they need time to build their own competing products before stablecoins eat their business.
