This new revision of the TileMatrixSet standards allows describing vector, coverage or map TileSets, and facilitate the re-use of registered common tiling schemes. It will form the basis of OGC API - Tiles ( ogcapi.ogc.org/tiles/ ). It also lays foundations for tiling 3+D data.
