It's actually impressive how fast words become meaningless on here.
"Mid" turned into "trash"
"Slop" turned into "Thing I dislike"
"Larp" is now whatever people want it to be.
I kid you not I have had people say I'm a larper while I was mid live-tweeting a watch through of a series. Word doesn't mean a thing anymore which sucks because there has always existed that group of people that don't actually care and just want to fit in.

@shiten_room I think something a lot of people on japans twitter (obviously not a representation of the entirety of the japanese people) don't realise is that while we love artists
we despise corporations

@shiten_room Also additionally and i do want to point this out because i think it's impressive, around 8 years after Go Galaxy released in Japan a bunch of fans made a full fan translation of the game with ways to patch roms or the actual cartridges (which btw don't work on european 3ds's)

@shiten_room and i'm lucky, cause for example America only got like, 1 or 2 of the games and years later.
sometimes we discover series that'll never be translated, that or the translation will be so garbage and old that it's basically pointless

People keep praising my statement, but to me, it feels completely natural.
If a child plays a game borrowed from a friend without paying for it, is that child a bad person?
What if that game changed their life?
What if it inspired them so deeply that, years later, they began creating manga?
The problem always lies in the system.
Even if people and times change, if the system doesn't change, errors are inevitable.
This is a very obvious fact.
Therefore, instead of fighting amongst ourselves, let's focus on building a better system.
