A major multi-day severe weather event could kick off this weekend. Starting Saturday in west Texas, dangerous storms and large hail are expected to expand from the southern Plains to the Upper Midwest by Monday. Models agree this setup means business. Stay tuned for updates.

Watching models. Looks like a couple things brewing across the Florida peninsula the next few days. #1: Numerous inland storms popping today Monday. Some along the coast, more east side. Some bigger isolated rains in there. Flow pushes off east. #2: Overnight Gulf juice builds from frontal low. Flow is west to east. Coastal rains/storms possible before sunrise and builds through the day on Tuesday. Looks like Tuesday the most coverage. GOOD NEWS continues to be the trend for hurricane season. A super El Niño could be in the making. El Niño leads to fewer storms for the Atlantic basin. If we develop a strong El Niño (Super Nino), this could be one of the slowest hurricane seasons in recent memory. #lawx
