@RidgeandFrost @SophyRidgeSky Legislation already exists about hate speech , incitement to hate or violence . Just make sure those laws are applied to everyone and allow everyone to protest and march .
English

'People have the right to march but members of the Jewish community have the right to live their lives'
@SophyRidgeSky asks Housing Secretary Steve Reed if repeated pro-Palestine marches could be banned under new powers recently passed by MPs.
English

@toryboypierce @RachelReevesMP For health reasons i quit drinking , younger people are less inclined to go to a pub preferring somewhere quiet for coffee . Society changes , although it would be a tragedy if British style pubs went into terminal decline . Reading the news today I could not afford to drink now
English

Two pubs a day have closed this year as a direct result of robber @RachelReevesMP disastrous Budgets. Time to call Last Orders on her chancellorship

@Stephen56227576 @SkyNews @HarrietHarman ''There’s no legal minimum percentage of votes a party needs to win a seat however academics, such as the Wales Governance , have estimated that it's likely a party or independent candidate would need to secure around 12% of the vote in a constituency to win a seat.''
English

Is Wales’ complicated voting system putting off voters?
@HarrietHarman thinks the new Welsh voting system is so complicated it could be putting voters off. Plus, what could happen in the Senedd elections?

@FeebeeSmiff @Channel4News The Labour conference , supported PR , Starmer blocked it . HOL reform ? Abandoned , nationalised Utilities ? No .
English

@Echobeach19 @Channel4News Eh? Just because the media doesn’t report it - all these things are happening. The Labour manifesto is being implemented; they’re doing a good job.

Airlines slash flights as fuel shortage fears mount ft.trib.al/OVpQYbk

@Channel4News Someone's garden , home obviously not , but woodland estates and moorland away from property then yes but with a caveat . You do not want to be wondering onto land where shooting takes place . The foreshore , below high tide level should be open to everyone .

@BBCPolitics Tommy Robinson's marches bother me and millions of others . Can we ban them too
English

“When there is incendiary protests that are intimidating a particular community… it’s right the police can take robust action”
Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander is asked by #BBCLauraK about potentially banning some pro-Palestinian marches
#BBCLauraK bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…
English

@BBCPolitics I guess they don't want to cause any panic , people not buying flights , not spending and then suddenly there will be a crisis . Everyone sticking their heads in the sand just as they did with Covid
English

"There may be a need for airlines to trim their schedules slightly”
Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander admits some airlines may have to cancel flights due to fuel shortages but says “the majority of people" will not be affected this summer
#BBCLauraK bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…
English

@BBCPolitics So basically agree with Israel and ignore its genocide in Gaza and well if you do not agree with that assessment we are removing your freedom to protest . The very worst thing is that won't make Jewish people in the UK any safer .The issue is how to minimise radicalisation . How?
English

"These marches are being used to create a climate of intimidation and fear against Jews”
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says she supports a moratorium on pro-Palestinian protests

@BethRigby @HagopianAlicja Scottish Council seats use STV - Stormont uses Additional Member - The Senedd uses a party list system and the D'Hont formulae whilst Westminster its FPTP the same for English councils . How silly is all that . Agree on a form of PR for the entire United Kingdom .
English

And the meeting multi-party politics with the first past the post electoral system could see council seats being won on record low vote shares, say leading political scientists. Read more via @HagopianAlicja

@SionJobbins @JoshHousden @Nowcast_EU Is 12% of the vote the threshold to obtain a seat ? I have been trying to find an answer
English

@JoshHousden @Nowcast_EU Seriously, Green and LD voters in the Valleys - where they won't get 12% to win a seat, should seriously think of voting Plaid. Likewise, Labour in rural Wales. Don't let Reform be the biggest party in the Senedd ✊ 🏴
English

@JamesEvansMS The vote for the Senedd uses proportional representation so just vote for whoever you want . Tactical voting is pointless where PR is used
English

If you want to stop Plaid and the Greens, there’s only one way to do it vote REFORM
A vote for anyone else risks splitting the vote, handing Wales over to the separatists, and taking Wales further down a road of damaging decisions driven by extreme ideology, not common sense.
If you want change, you have to vote for it.
Vote Reform.

English

@SimonCalder So yes if you are booked in Europe on a package holiday or short haul then perhaps no issues . If you are independently touring SE Asia and then you may face difficulties . Friends had to leave Nepal early as all Air Asia flights ceased on April 28th .
English

@SimonCalder I saw your broadcast on Sky News and feel your message did not give the full picture . Here in S E Asia Thai Air Asia and other airlines have dramatically cut services . So all Thai Air Asia flights into Nepal and most from India to Thailand are cancelled until August or October
English

Budget airlines insist they will fly their full programmes this summer, despite warnings that the UK is more exposed than the rest of Europe to jet fuel shortage.
Boss of Wizz Air UK tells me: "We're not seeing an Armageddon situation. We have fuel supply"
