B Ham the 🏈 player was ferocious, violent & assertive.
@HamiltonND95 the husband, father & friend is loving, dedicated, loyal & unflinching.
While the attributes he shows to the world have changed, the man remains the same.
Happy 🎂 B Ham! We love you brother.

He Said “Do What’s Right”—But This Is What It Looked Like #NDFB #GoIrish

Over the past several years, I’ve had the opportunity to interview former Notre Dame student-athletes and capture the stories that shaped their lives—both on and off the field.
One theme continues to emerge in those conversations: the lasting impact of Coach Lou Holtz.
Not just as a championship coach, but as a leader who instilled discipline, accountability, and belief in others.
Today, I’m sharing one of those stories from a former player. It’s a powerful reminder that the best leaders don’t just drive results—they shape people.

Somewhere between Monday’s motivation and Friday’s finish line, Wednesday shows up and asks us to just keep going.
So today, I’m choosing:
✨ a little grace
✨ a little gratitude
✨ and a really good cup of coffee
Because not every day needs to be extraordinary… sometimes it just needs to be steady.
If your week feels a little messy, a little busy, or a little overwhelming—you're not alone. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.
And maybe add a little Irish touch while you're at it. ☘️
You’ve got this.

St. Patrick’s Day has always been one of my favorite days of the year.
It’s a day when the world feels a little more Irish—when we celebrate faith, tradition, resilience, and the joy of community.
But today feels a little different.
There’s a quieter meaning to it this year. A deep sense of gratitude… but also a touch of sadness.
Lou Holtz taught so many of us lessons that had nothing to do with football:
Do the right thing.
Do the best you can.
Show people you care.
Simple words.
But powerful enough to guide a lifetime.
As I sip my coffee and reflect on what this day represents, I’m reminded that being Irish isn’t just about celebration. It’s about faith, loyalty, and gratitude—and about carrying forward the values that others have passed down to us.
Coach lived that every day.
And maybe the best way we can honor him isn’t through grand gestures, but through the way we live.
By encouraging someone.
By offering a helping hand.
By choosing kindness when it matters most.
That feels like a pretty Irish way to live.
Grateful today.
Reflective today.
And thankful for the people who leave us better than they found us.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day. ☘️💚

@EchoesFromND Is there another human on earth more deserving of Sainthood than Holtz…..
Not by his success on the field, but by teaching and guiding so many men and women through his faith and direction.

My treasured handwritten note from Coach Lou Holtz. 💚☘🙏
Every once in a while, you come across something that reminds you just how powerful a few handwritten words can be.
Years ago, I received this note from Coach Lou Holtz, and it has remained one of my most treasured keepsakes.
What always struck me about Coach Holtz was that the man who led a national championship team, mentored countless student-athletes, and inspired millions… still took the time to personally encourage others.
That was leadership.
Coach Holtz often said:
“Do the right thing, do the best you can, and show people you care.”
This note is a small but powerful example of that philosophy in action. Just a few handwritten lines, but a lifelong reminder of the impact encouragement and kindness can have.
I keep it close as a reminder that leadership isn’t about titles or trophies—it’s about lifting others up.
And sometimes the smallest gestures become the ones we treasure most.
Grateful. 💚☘🙏

As family, friends and teammates gather to celebrate the life and legacy of legeNDary Lou Holtz, just want to thank our “Coach for Life” for having such a profound impact on my journey on and off the field. He consistently stood by the words Trust, Love and Commitment for which we were all better for it. I am grateful for his care, kindness and support. #4for40 #WIN #TLC #GoIrish
