@RileyMurray721 @th93el @justaphag6 The reasons your generation is the first to be less intelligent than your parents is becoming clearer by the day. None of you have basic reading comprehension skills. Nor can you form a cohesive argument. It’s like expecting a slug to do mathematics

The fact pensioners would rather plunge newborn kids and young children into poverty, instead of selling their million pound houses or stop receiving the state pension when rich, IS BONKERS.

@DraperOr Perfect. Then repeal the national insurance act. Give me a refund for the years I have paid in. I’ll sit on my arse and claim state benefits instead of working, as will everyone else. How are planning to support yourself when you retire btw?

@EchoesOfGr Look up stamp duty’s origins. None of us is entitled to the same deal from government indefinitely.

🚨 Viral meltdown at JFK: TikTok OB-GYN Dr. Jennifer Lincoln (2.8M followers) confronted ICE agents helping with TSA lines during the partial shutdown. She said: “Thank you guys for being here… because I’ll never be racist pigs like you. Hope your moms are proud.” Agents smiled, stayed calm, and walked away. She flipped off the camera and compared ICE to Nazis. Kaiser Permanente just ended her contract: “We expect professionalism.” She’s defending it and losing followers. Agents praised for composure. Wild. 😳 Here’s a video of what she said. She has turned off comments on TikTok. She is NOT professional at all! @RealTomHoman #ICE

@Jamesy_boy It’s ridiculous. I paid £69k in stamp duty for my house - which I accept isn’t representative of the average - and anyone who doesn’t think that stamp duty makes it harder for first time buyers and makes it pointless for most people to trade up is an idiot.

Could any retirees complaining about how hard it was to buy a house fifty years ago (it wasn’t) tell us how much stamp duty they paid?

@EchoesOfGr @kokeshimum These boomers call everyone younger than themselves lazy scroungers then act shocked that the supposed lazy scroungers don't see why they should support homeowners and landlords when they're struggling themselves

Except this is nonsense because we know that with Brexit for example pensioners overwhelming voted for Brexit and Johnson in 2016 & 2019 whilst younger people absolutely did not. Today over 65’s will overwhelmingly vote for Reform.
💚❤️debbee💙💙@debbeepatton

@kokeshimum @TuckerClemens No, *many* pensioners have been left wing all their lives & have always voted that way, while *many* younger people are right wing or don’t even bother voting at all. I say *many* with both cohorts & would never consider either group as being identical in political opinions.

@EchoesOfGr @kokeshimum You said that boomers don't vote Labour because they don't like socialism. But by your own definition Labour are not socialist - they're social democrats. State pensions are part of the leftist welfare state they voted against but still feel entitled to.

@lagomsensei @ChrisNeeeiigghh @VerhofstadtQ Absolutely. The most materialistic, narcissistic generation. Little to no concept of hard work, empathy or civic duty. No understanding of life before the digital age. Also the first gen to be less intelligent than their parents despite having a great education handed to them

They are now saying Boomers are privileged because we graduated debt free. Well, some of us didn't graduate at all. Some of us left school at 16 and went to work. Some of us bought our first home when we were 20 and were mortgage free before we were 50..............

@ember__blue @kokeshimum Never fails. When you can’t refute an argument you just reframe the argument into things that were never said. Go and argue with some other fucking mug with time to waste on your incoherent babbling

@EchoesOfGr @kokeshimum I was simply translating things for you since you seem to think UK Labour are socialist. You say boomers abandoned Labour because they see that "socialism" doesn't work, but they still expect to benefit from the social democratic welfare state they vote against

@lagomsensei @VerhofstadtQ I think it's more that Boomers, rather than just accepting that being born at that time made some of the things that are impossible today a lot easier, they talk down to people like it's as easy for them and they should do what they did, as this example shows.

@ChrisNeeeiigghh @VerhofstadtQ ‘Being able to leave school at 16’. The reason the job market is so bad is that most millennials and Gen Z treat uni as a rite of passage rather than a path to success. If you’re starting work 6-7 years later than Boomers you will be 6-7 years behind. It is quite simple

@VerhofstadtQ You think being able to leave school at 16, not going to uni, still being able to buy a home at 20 and paying it off before you were 50, isn't exactly the point people are making? 🤣🤣

@ember__blue @kokeshimum The UK state pension is not socialism. It is a pay-as-you-go social insurance scheme. It falls under welfare state capitalism or social democracy. That is, government intervention to mitigate capitalism’s downsides without abolishing private property or markets.

The problem with this boomer debate for me is that they're completely unwilling to understand how the economic context has changed over the past 40 years.

@db_fink Gen Z are simply the most materialistic generation to have ever existed. This is why they are viewed as entitled. They have little to no understanding of the experiences, hardships or moral framework of anyone pre 1980

@PangurBn10 @jusderaisingroy The misconception is that you have no clue about how boomers lived. If they were saving they did without. They did not buy tvs and phones and holidays until they had bought a house and could afford it. They did not eat out, order takeout. They left school at 15-16 and worked

@jusderaisingroy There’s a Boomer misconception caused by this illusion - which is because they grew up with things like TVs, phones, holidays etc being expensive but now today there’re quite affordable that it means the youth have it easy

Why the fuck should my son have to work 55 plus hours a week when I didn’t and neither did his grandparents or great grandparents ffs. Stop fucking pretending that boomers and Gen X was out there working 80 hour weeks. We fucking weren’t.
Rush@exRAF_Al

Why does Gen Z feel incapable of getting a second job, or part-time work? If he only has one job, he can work fifteen hours extra a week stacking shelves and save that for a house - and stop blaming other people for his inactivity.
