I still get 1 or 2 tapped, the only reason I have 1k hp is because all other stats give you a small amount of HP along with whatever else they give.

@Loquacious_K @thunderba11r They'll come back if you bonfire ascetic, which will also increase the NG cycle of the area controlled by the bonfire, meaning they'll drop more souls.
You can get NG+ rings in first NG with this method, some of my fav features of the game.

@thunderba11r Idk why but this area a Smelter is like my favorite. Maybe bc it was a good grinding spot? I recall running it so much the enemies stopped respawning

Beat this boss for the first time last night and for me personally I do think this area was needlessly tedious. I get them wanting players to actually engage with the area and not just boss rush but this one felt like it took that further than it needed. Didn’t ruin the game tho

@thunderba11r After playing through it enough times I know the enemy spawns & where I need to dodge in order to just run through, but it takes time to learn.
However, there are 2 TRULY hellish run-backs in the DLCs that are miles worse than anything in the base game.

Learn how to fight heroes you usually counterswap?
Are you really improving at the game if you just change characters to answer for your lack of skill in a certain matchup, just cause it gets a little difficult?

Earnestly being mad about counterswapping is so funny like. One of the skills of the game is to recognize when you are struggling and to switch to a character that lets you deal with the issue better. You could always run it down on stadium if counterswapping is that upsetting.

@tsukideko It isn't ideal, but it's friendlier to new players making it good as an introduction.
It eased me into the series, now I've played & beaten everything except for demon's souls, & walked a dozen people through the trilogy.
I see merit in starting with 3, but 2 is my favorite.
