The number of people who clearly use AI to craft basic posts on this site, and replies to posts, is pretty shocking. Once you learn how to spot AI writing, you see it absolutely everywhere on here. It’s unmistakable. The tech has existed for 10 seconds and already huge swaths of people have completely given up on even the simplest forms of creative writing.

But AI is here more pros than cons for allowing its use in video games for smaller devs. As long as it gets paid back like this case. Or the voice actors are aware of its intended use (like embark was transparent about in the beginning)

@MikeMumbelz @CultureCrave @GIBiz It’s not an error. AI allowed them to work within their budget to then create a massively successful game. Then using those profits to “pay it back” to what they likely would have done in the first place if they were AAA.
Ai allows low budget teams to compete with the big dogs.

@SirSnipeyy Bullshit, there were screamers all the way up until release about the use of AI in arc raiders.
Plus this is the best way to use AI. Low budget doesn’t mean low quality anymore. Then upon success you bring in the people that AI replaced to still give them to work. Win/win.

@Ecliptify @shoot_loot I work two full weeks. The rest of my month is reserved for on call if necessary for my 31 state government clients. Generally not necessary so I enjoy a solid amount of free time but trust me I’ve scaled to the maximum sustainable workload for my industry.
