Just finished watching the odyssey and I’m going to give my honest full review on it without spoilers My rating would be a clear 9.5/10.0 I can see it being all the way up to a 9.8 I loved that there wasn’t any dull moments in the film, had you engaged throughout the whole 3 hours. There was moments in the film especially in the beginning that felt rushed I assume bc it was filmed on IMAX but other then that was well paced Now some downsides I felt - some of the actors voices in the film through me off and made it seem a bit to modern. I’m not going to name names but once you watch it you will have that feeling or at least I did But once the film settles in a bit you kind of get used to it. Stand out performances of course go to Matt Damon and Ann Hathaway. Overall some of Christopher Nolan’s best work. Go watch it TRUST ME it’s worth it.

To be fair, if we look at the IQ bell curve, it is possible but the top tail end is not as critical for a functioning society as the median value. The bottom quintile is actually far more important as you need to create and enforce laws to manage their behavior. Europe's approach to that problem of eliminating the bottom ~1% of each generation was highly effective in creating prosperous societies
