"The late Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile was many things. He was a distinguished public servant, an astute economist, a visionary central banker, but to Makerere University he was first and foremost one of our own, a proud son of this institution, who never forgot where his journey began. Professor Mutebile walked these very grounds as a student, and it was here that he honed the leadership qualities that would define his remarkable career as a student leader." ~ Prof. @SsaliSarah #MutebileLecture2025

It was a pleasure to welcome the @UNDP & @Milliman_Inc Global Actuarial Initiative (GAIN) team to @Makerere. Together, we aim to strengthen actuarial training through the launch of a Master’s program in 2026, secure international accreditation, and nurture actuaries for Uganda.
