When one considers how needlessly disrespectful, belligerent, and threatening this sociopathic narcissistic criminal has been to our historical allies who can really blame them. You've been there for us in the past such as in the immediate wake of 9/11. We couldn't have asked for better friends. The relative peace and prosperity enjoyed for 80 years was thanks to our symbiotic 1 + 1 = 3 force multiplier effect with which we all contributed. Populist passions in my country have been stirred into a frenzy by the oligarchs who easily leverage the provincialism and parochialism of far too many in terms of both national and global affairs. As an American I worry for our servicemembers who are currently in theater and in harm's way. This military action was never discussed or debated. It was thrust upon us. We're aware of the atrocities of the despotic theocratic regime in Tehran, their anti-West positioning and sponsorship of non-state terrorism, their threat to regional neighbors, but the way this has been handled by civilian leadership of our armed forces has been nothing less than embarrassingly amateurish and quite possibly illegal and unconstitutional. I understand the current positioning of our allies in response to Trump's ... "demands".... I mean, just who the hell does he think he is? Please know there remains a respectable America who can see the current situation with clarity. But it would appear that we're not so much outnumbered by MAGA populist morons as much as we're outnumbered by the apoliticals, the apathetics, the indifferents, those far too engrossed in their day-to-day diversions of American culture and life to be anywhere near knowing what's going on in the world. They're the majority and they need to awaken. We've tried to wake them up for a decade and we're looked at like we're crazy. Here's hoping we can finally rid ourselves of his global pariah and national disgrace who is nothing less than a loose cannon rolling around wildly on the deck of the world. I for one don't blame you one bit. Hope we can all catch up as friends on the other side.
