On this Kentucky Derby day, here’s your reminder that Secretariat was faster than any horse who has ever lived. The year is 1973 and this is his track record run. Untouched for 53 years. The GOAT.

@KurtSchlichter The geographic area represented by the term 'North Houston' is huge. Some think that ends in the Woodlands, others at BW8. And East to West its from Humble to Cypress. But if you're near the north loop 610, then some say Pinks Pizza is pretty good. I'm not a pizza snob, so 🤷

Can anybody tell me where I can get a decent pizza in North Houston? The one I just tried tasted like wet newspaper on a paste crust. I ate one slice. Even Barkey and Bitey were sad. Clearly, I’m not capable of finding a decent pizza here in Houston. Nor is Yelp. Nor is Grok. The best I found is Via 313; it’s good, but it’s not a traditional pizza. Help.

I agree with many of these observations. At this stage, AI is very useful in legal tasks that used to require a form book. When you get to the higher level analysis it will speak with great confidence, but will often be wrong. I have toyed with it by asking it to prepare cross examination outlines and it makes suggestions that would quickly blow up in your face at trial. So at least for now, AI is nowhere near replacing criminal defense lawyers. It is, however, more than welcome to take over the task of talking to face tattooed Lil’ Pookie in the jail about why the “stamp looking weird” on the indictment is not in fact grounds for a dismissal.

NASA is such a beautiful contradiction of the precision of mathematics and engineering combined with the idiot yeehaw spirit of Texas. Mission around the moon was commanded from a building that has longhorns grazing on one side and a swamp full of gators on the other. -OS

As a lawyer, I will be the first to say that neurosurgeons are more elite than lawyers. Sorry, but when by brain needs to be fixed or I die, I don’t need someone to find a tax loophole.
Overeducated Gibbon@MostlyMonkey

Top lawyers are a far more.elite group than neurosurgeons. The difference is that the selection is less legible and more gradual. The 170 lsat (call it top 3% of college grads) is just the start of a 20 year-long process that screens out the vast majority of the remainder.

These ranking matter mostly to new law students. Once you get out of the "supernova" national brand (Harvard, Stanford, etc) it's all regional.

I hope this trend spreads among the airlines faster than finding new fees to charge. I will 100% prioritize my business to airlines that limit the chances I sit next to someone listening to TikTok dances on speaker phone.
Eyewitness News@ABC7NY

Using headphones is no longer just considered proper etiquette, it's now a requirement on United Airlines flights. United says passengers who use speakers and refuse to wear headphones could be removed from flights and even face a lifetime ban.The airline says travelers who don't have headphones can request a free pair from flight attendants.

The last scheduled @SouthwestAir flight with open seating will be WN1791 from Honolulu to Los Angeles this evening. And it is slated to be flown by N871HK – the 'Desert Gold' retro jet dedicated to the carrier's founder Herb Kelleher.
