@EddMather @RadicalBrewingM I'm not sure I understand? It's pronounced the same apart from the accent perhaps? It seems to have travelled from the north of England, to the north of Ireland as a meaning for news, chat, etc. and then the meaning changed somewhat, as did the spelling in the 90s ...

Lads, we need to start spelling it properly - it's crack, not craic. I know the hated English anglicised our words but this isn't payback, uh uh ...
