@Heutnitra @EdenRivals this is a v reductive way to describe whats happening in the clips but youre literally right. characters have specific attacks (and grabs!) that are designed to beat floorhugging. im sorry OP cant spam safe, low% combo starters and get a free 60% like in rivals 1

rivals 1 players will do anything but learn KD percents to erode the RNG factor of floorhug.
my guy, it happens so much because you're mindlessly tossing moves out that clearly do not knockdown yet. You're avoiding the system entirely and crying about it existing.

Gave Floorhug 2 another honest chance. This game is confused down to its bonemarrow. I used to clip things like this as a for-instance of how bad the game "can" be, but this shit happened every other stock. Nothing satisfying, only mystery boxes of incoherent mechanics.

@0Lightrunner0 The game has so much more defensive depth than it needs with how laggy every move is. You have already have movement, parry, shield, ledge invuln, CC, floorhug, teching, tech rolling, rolling, getup attacks, etc.

@EdenRivals I get that they want the game to have defensive depth, but I don't think cc is the way to go. We already have parry, shield, and no recovery after wall jump.
Like you said, landing hits with cc doesn't feel rewarding. I'd much prefer something like a defensive burst to add depth
