Joined wheelchair users, disability advocates, allies & Rep. O'Day at the Rally for Repairs in support of S.2662 & H.4358. Too many wheelchair users wait weeks or months for repairs, leaving them stranded or in unsafe equipment. Disability rights are civil rights!

There is a heat advisory in Boston through tomorrow night, Wednesday, 7/15 at 8 pm. Splash pads and several city pools will be open for people to cool off. @BCYFcenters and the @BPLBoston will be open for those seeking relief. More: boston.gov/heat

Kristen and I enjoyed attending a reception aboard the Polish tall ship Dar Młodzieży in Charlestown. We especially enjoyed talking to the ship’s crew and other guests. It was a beautiful night to walk throughout the Charlestown Navy Yard and of course see @USSConstitution

Another embarrassing news article about the @BOSCityCouncil. I support the right of city council staff members to form a union. There should be consistency, fairness,worker protection and agreed upon standards for city council staff members.The status quo is no longer an option!

Honored to stand with the Brigham and Women’s nurses this afternoon.These dedicated nurses have been locked out of the hospital and their work shifts by hospital executives.Nurses are the backbone of health care in Boston! Their fight is about social,economic and racial justice!

Thank you Asian Community Development Corporation for inviting us to your annual picnic today. This year’s theme focused on heat concerns, heat resilience and heat mitigations. It was wonderful to see community partners fully engaged in educating the public about this issue!

Kristen and I enjoyed viewing the Parade of Sail with Boston residents and visitors throughout the nation and world. The grand arrival of tall ships and military vessels was led by @USSConstitution.We celebrated Boston’s proud maritime & naval heritage & America’s 250th birthday!

It was wonderful to attend this afternoon’s photography exhibition sponsored by the Boston Chinese Photography Association. This exhibition celebrated the contributions of Boston’s AAPI community, including the people, places, and achievements that make Boston a remarkable city!

It was an honor to start the morning at the Zion Temple Holy Church in Dorchester for a brunch in honor of General Enoch Woodhouse, a World WW2 Veteran and Tuskegee Airman. Thank you to this exceptional church community for your service and generosity to your neighbors in need!

Another person was shot last night in Downtown Boston. Over the last eleven days, a total of four people were shot in this neighborhood. I talked to residents and business owners about crime and public safety. I will continue to fight for more police resources in Downtown Boston!

The @BOSCityCouncil had an important opportunity today to advocate for recently laid off (union) teachers, paraprofessionals, bus monitors and students with disabilities. However, city councilors failed to provide the moral leadership that was critical during this moment! @BTU66

I filed a resolution urging the City to use reserve funds to restore critical BPS positions before the 2026–27 school year. We have the resources to prevent these layoffs and should not balance the budget on the backs of paraprofessionals and the students they serve.

This week I filed a hearing order for an independent engineering study to help repair & reopen the Blackstone Pool. South End and Roxbury families deserve access to this vital community resource. This is an issue of social, economic, environmental, and racial justice.

Following an incident 6/28 I filed a resolution condemning violence directed @ BPD officers,first responders &city officials. Boston faces serious public safety challenges.We need a proactive plan to strengthen our police force, support first responders &keep neighborhoods safe
