Making the stats nobody explains make sense — so you see tonight's game like a GM. Pick your sport, pick your team.

"The benefits just don’t seem to outweigh the cost at this time of the season." More on Shohei Ohtani's suddenly uncertain status as a pitcher, and why the Dodgers don't expect him back on the mound for likely "some time” @capostsports: nypost.com/2026/07/19/spo…

Braves vs Rangers Cal Quantrill vs Chris Sale. Sale is the clear ace here — lower ERA (2.20), much better K/9 (10.74) and solid control again on for a cy young contending season. Quantrill is respectable (3.11 ERA) but gets hit harder and doesn’t miss as many bats. Both bullpens are relatively fresh post-break. ATL holds a slight edge overall (especially in high-leverage arms). Offense is pretty even but TEX has the better recent form and park edge based on their power in recent games. The data points line up strongly for the Braves tonight if sale can hold the game down you would expect the braves to extend their lead in the NL to 3. R/game (L30) TEX - 4.4 | ATL - 3.9 OPS (L30) TEX - .766 | ATL - .643 ISO TEX - .172 | ATL - .136 K% TEX - 21.8% | ATL - 23.0% #MLB #Braves #TexasRangers
