Stopped at a red light in a taxi in Manhattan and spotted this building that looks like a star destroyer is being launched from it. Cool! Snapped a photo and asked ChatGPT and Google Gemini to identify it. I asked four times and was confidently informed that it was: The Bank of America Tower One Vanderbilt Bryant Park Hotel Hearst Tower Instant results, no hesitation, no acknowledgment that these are different buildings and so can’t all be the correct answer. It’s none of those. It’s the Edge, an observation deck at 30 Hudson Yards. Kinda touristy, but supposedly not bad. Maybe when we’re all being driven around in autonomous taxis, human drivers can still come along to answer questions. Or at least say they don’t know. 🤷‍♂️
