There's an interesting situation worth watching right now at Binance. I've seen some other posts talking about BNBBTC orderflow and theres some speculation on what is happening under the hood, however, there is some objective truth in the data that allows us to form reasonable assumptions imo. If you been trading intraday this year you've probably noticed the influence BTCBUSD spot pair has had on the market. We can speculate on what Binance is doing with its BUSD reserves and BNBBTC here (tell me what you think in the comments), but what we know for certain is this: - someone is buying BTC with BUSD - someone is selling BTC for USDT - someone is buying BNB with USDT There's a few reasons someone may want to do this, but the most likely reason imo is someone is concerned about BNB collateral and may be willing to sell assets to protect this collateral. Again, speculation but not unreasonable assumption. This situation *could* be very similar to FTX's FTT issue last November. The reality is we dont know all the facts, but from what we're seeing on the tape, it looks like someone needs to make sure BNB doesn't tank here and some reasonable assumptions can be drawn from that. Might be an interesting next couple of weeks.
