@Edgonewc

Current focus is mastering singlehanded tennis topspin backhand but often interrupted by anaesthetic work. Views my own.

@WillBoucek I agree should have best doubles players. Could the tournament be 2 halves. One side is the singles pairs and other is doubles focused players. Winner of each draw plays a final - Could be interesting? I’d be hoping the traditional doubles team wins but either way marketable?

People argue that USO Mixed winners shouldn't be called GS Champions bc it's fast-4. Maybe... but a better argument is that we won't actually have the best mixed doubles players in the draw. No Hsieh No Zielinski No Krawczyk No Skupski No Siniakova

@pavyg @DjokerNole After what they did to him? It’s easy to take victim status and claim his win as justice but really??! He didn’t comply with government regulations during a pandemic. Yes he won cause he is incredible player. It’s not a conspiracy so maybe time to get over it.

Ok I want everyone's most favourite part of the 2023 Tennis season. Mine is @DjokerNole winning the Australian open. After what they did to him in 2022 I wanted Djokovic to win this year more than anything else and he did! It gave me tears of happiness. 🙏

@pavyg Pavvy now a self declared expert on Australian deportation laws, anti Rafa to the point of obsession and antivaxxer. What a combination- at least we agree tennis is a great sport!

Whether you want to believe it or not, Rafa Nadal played a key role in ensuring that Djokovic was deported from Australia in 2022. His primary motivation was to make it easier for him to win the title.

Hi Tennis Twitter, Who has the best backhand in women's tennis? With so many great WTA backhands, I'm interested in hearing some opinions.

Hi! This is me, the cancer patient that Donald Trump blocked on Twitter while trying to strip away our health care. But now Trump is coming back. I'm at 52k followers. Can you RT & follow me to help get to 60k this weekend? Don't let them silence us.

@Igetmykicks @cliffreid Yep. It’s interesting hey. I used to test Olympic rowers at AIS many years ago after their 6 min ergo test. Crazy lactates and ph less than 7. Brutal sport.

@drewseybaby Think I understood this book and how precise and worldly efficient it is for about 1 day before part 2 exams. Then it was suddenly lost but the memory of sort of understanding it is nostalgic.

Today I’m on an epic adventure to find William Pugh, first to give an anaesthetic in Australia. Also had 17 lawsuits out against him … I can’t help but wonder if Pugh would have been on Twitter, and if so, how would his history have been told? #ACE22TAS

@oli_m_sims Ok. Lots of good tips already above. I would add use local anaesthetic. If you want the patient to stay with you/ keep trust then don’t hurt them by digging around which is often what’s needed in challenging cannulation. I wish I had routinely done this as a junior RMO/SHO .

On my new ward, the nurses are superb and can all cannulate, bleed and catheterise. However this means that I only get called to have a go when they’ve not managed. I’ve gone from feeling ok with procedures to feeing distinctly meh, even with ultrasound. Anyone got any tips?
