I don't believe that 'severe' or 'low fuctioning' #autism are actual things. Neither is 'Mild' autism and 'High fuctioning' isn't helpful because it doesn't describe needs and difficulties that autism causes. We are mech better off stating co-concurring diagnosis such as LD/ ID.

"Suffer not ____ to come to me" You're the one turning people away from God. It must end whether intentional or not. In other unrelated news- Church attendance falls!

@WhyDottoreHot @emanzi @RevJacquiLewis I don’t see how that removes someone’s rights. Private residences aren’t obligated to adhere to ADA either. I mean it’s a shame but it doesn’t remove a right. I’m sure there are plenty of other options of churches to attend

It's depressing how much of our national life is spent arguing over whether we truly need to treat all people with dignity and respect.

@historytastic @PookyH 'Kinnetic' is becoming a more widely used term for ADHD. Kinnetic refers to how the mind works, not just the physical manifestation of hyperactitivity. A much better term IMHO

@PookyH Language is interesting in so many ways. We can make a distinction for autism but can we do the same with ADHD which is arguably just as intrinsic. Or maybe it isn't and people don't seek to embrace it in the same way...?

@Ord_Off Unfortunately Twitter itself is becoming an accessibility issue. I'm seeing the autistic and neurodivergent community leaving in droves, which is ironic, as Elon Is reputed to be autistic himself. Unchecked ablism and misinformation makes being present here untenable.

@EdgySpirit We have yet to find another platform that meets our accessibility needs as well as twitter, we are on Facebook but do not have the capacity to be as present there as here, our weekly service is on Youtube and there is our website but twitter is our home.

Dear #ActuallyAutistic and other neurokin. This app is getting worse and worse. With the lifting of the misinformation ban, antivaxxers are being given a free pass. The ableism that comes with that means it isn't a safe place for #autistic people. Time to go. #autism.
