Kinda surreal to be backed by @PanteraCapital, the first institutional crypto fund in the U.S. When I first entered this industry, Pantera was already one of the most influential and respected funds in crypto. I grew up learning from the insights of @FranklinBi and the rest of the team, following their work as I tried to better understand this rapidly evolving industry. Today, Four Pillars has grown into one of Pantera’s key partners in Asia. Together, we are helping bridge Asia and the U.S., and ultimately connecting participants across the global crypto ecosystem. Having spent more than eight years in this industry, I’ve seen countless people claim they would become the bridge between Asia and the global market. Unfortunately, many of those players relied more on polished narratives and exaggerated networks than real expertise. Some took advantage of Asian institutions and builders by overselling their influence, while others marketed themselves to global protocols as Asia experts, collecting fees, securing angel allocations, and ultimately providing little to no real value. For far too long, many of the people positioned as “connectors” lacked even a fundamental understanding of blockchain technology. Their influence was often built on little more than “I know the right people.” Perhaps this is one of the reasons why Asia has remained somewhat disconnected from broader global crypto trends despite being such an important market. This was a concern I shared openly with Pantera, and one they deeply resonated with. I’m grateful that Pantera has recognized Four Pillars’ research capabilities as being among the best in the industry globally. More importantly, they believed that by combining our research-driven approach with Pantera’s network and reach, we could build something fundamentally different from the superficial connectors that have dominated the space for years—a platform capable of creating genuine, measurable impact. Our partnership with Pantera is only beginning. We intend to push the boundaries of what a research-driven company can do in Asia. We will continue building the infrastructure, knowledge, relationships, and institutional pathways necessary to help Asia participate in crypto at a truly global standard. I’m incredibly grateful to have Pantera alongside us on that journey.

Yes, we started with a trading interface and a card biz. The future of trading is not just a place to click buy and sell. It is where users think, ask, simulate, and eventually delegate decisions to agents. We started to work more on inference. Inference is worth doing because trading creates high-freq, context-rich demand for intelligence. And the demand benefits from economies of scale. Another thing is user interactions with our inference product will create a market-intelligence feedback loop. Questions, clicks, watchlist, briefs reveal what markets are looking at. More traders + more users = better intelligence = better product. We started building out our own models and inference capabilities. We expect to continue doing so because the future of trading is AI.
