@jansousek1 @LeanderHofkes Is this still valid rn?

@LeanderHofkes same tbh - people get full AI channels with a single image over a 2h long AI voiceover monetized nonstop - and if you explain your 100% AI process in an appeal, it also gets accepted - really 0 issue with AI on yt's end

Everyone always asks me what the difference is between different types of YouTube channels (e.g., branded, AI, automation, etc.).
Let's put an end to the debate once and for all.
Here are the 6 main models everyone should know 👇
1. AI Channels
• The closest thing to actual YouTube automation.
• Fully AI-driven, volume-focused, and easily outsourced to a VA.
• Systems are everything.
• Each channel has a volatile life-span, so diversifying into multiple channels ASAP is key.
• Low costs and low production quality. High profit margins.
• Difficult to find a positioning gap, with a low barrier to entry and fierce competition.
• Higher risk of demonetization or termination.
• Monetization = usually 100% AdSense.
2. Trend Channels
• Faceless channels with low costs and low production quality, built around chasing short-term trends in riskier niches.
• They can generate massive cash flow in the short term if you spot opportunities quickly, but they burn out fast.
• Higher risk of demonetization or termination.
• Monetization = usually 100% AdSense.
3. Evergreen Channels
• Faceless YouTube channels with low production quality and costs, but steadier long-term viewing potential.
• Monetization = ~95% AdSense, with limited diversification sometimes possible through affiliates, sponsors, or additional languages, depending on the niche.
• No focus on viewer connection, authority gaps, or building a fully diversified monetization model.
• Can be outcompeted quite easily.
• Prone to demonetization or termination in certain niches, but can be safer than AI or trend channels.
4. Branded Channels
• Consistent style with a strong focus on branding.
• Even when faceless, they build personality and a deep viewer connection.
• Monetization is diversified across sponsors, digital products, affiliates, services, and/or multiple languages.
• Medium production costs.
• Long-term sustainability.
• Finding and exploiting an Authority Gap is critical for long-term sustainability.
• Hard to outcompete, but more challenging to get started and to identify the right gap.
• Higher production costs and quality than evergreen channels.
• Rarely at risk of termination or demonetization.
5. Personal Brands
• Similar to branded channels, but built around the founder’s own personality and presence.
• Creates the strongest audience connection and trust.
• Often used by entrepreneurs and YouTubers to sell services, products, or to establish themselves as influencers.
6. Media Companies
• The final boss.
• Built for scale with multiple channels across niches, larger teams, and higher production quality.
• Focused on creating IP, licensing content, and diversifying monetization at the highest level.
• Often use human hosts and operate like a full media network.
I personally specialize in creating and consulting evergreen channels, branded channels, and media companies. If I’ve missed anything, I’d love to hear from the AI, trend, and personal brand experts.
Hope this helps, and let me know below which channel you're currently building and what your goal is for the future 💪
