The data used to show LTNs are good is not what all it seems. Misleading disinformation pushed out into public to gaslight people into believing LTNs work … My council lied to residents and blocked them when questions were asked … The council mislead residents. Provided this false data to cycling lobby as evidence LTNs work.

LTNs: Yet more evidence that LTNs make journeys longer, increase congestion on other roads and reduce productivity through wasted time. It was the same when @LBofHounslow closed Turnham Green Terrace and Fishers Lane in #Chiswick. Why are councils still making the same mistakes?

@jackiehagland @haringeycouncil @CllrSeema All roads around the ladder have roadworks or blocked …. This is my dads road …. They closed other side of green lanes off for old LTN and this was the outcome. Now add roadworks ….. disgusting

@jackiehagland @haringeycouncil @CllrSeema 1 hour for my mum to get home by bus …. Normaly 15 minutes …. Add spurs games to the equation and it’s a network breakdown. No tubes either on the weekend. Does not take an expert to work out something has to be done

The only evidence @willnorman has that cycle tracks are safer is a single piece of research produced by Westmister University looking at the injury odds of a collision comparing the tracks in isolation to the intersections. In the real world serious injuries are soaring.

A trained and licensed motorist collides with a motorcyclist after they come out of nowhere with no high vis or lights. The motorist was originally given a suspended sentence but appealed this on the basis of being a hard worker and it was reduced to a simple fine.

I predict London will continue to have the most congested streets in Europe (costing business billions each year), some of the highest fares in Europe, average bus speeds barely reaching 9mph......and you want to widen cycle lanes.

Why is it most cycling fanatics are middle aged middle class males ? They support cycling even at the cost of harming women, children and poorer communities. That’s where I’m different. That’s why I’m not a cult member.

The “LTN Effect” continues as average bus speeds slow due to congestion created by cycle lanes and LTNs. This is now leading to wholesale cuts of services, as cycling lobbyists continue to press for the removal of bus lanes so they can have more private transport segregation.

It’s quite amusing how melt pro LTN say LTN rds were never meant to be “rat runs” & to keep it all on main rds as they were built for it but oh so suddenly don’t have a problem with loads of buses & motors all being forced to used side rds for Oxford St pedestrianisation🤣🤷🏼🎣
