In which ⁦@LordChrisHolmes⁩ calls for a review of the recent floating bus stop guidance. And tells government that blind people can no longer catch the bus!

Amazing how @willnorman and @TfL are portraying cycling risk as reducing by 23%. For the last decade its literally been trending upwards. Their Vision Zero plans and a £Billion made no difference!

@VincentStops @ZoeGarbett @hackneygreens Woodberry down estate was condemned as unfit to live in many many years ago (the council still let people live there) the redevelopment & reallocation of Woodberry Down estate into the new blocks started many years ago long before Covid why are the Green Party raising issues now

Covering 80% of commercial rooftops would generate 50% of UK electricity demand.

@VincentStops Still reports from all types of roads though Investment in segregated infrastructure improves safety for all road users and is a good thing

He’s telling porkies. London is getting more dangerous for cycling. 2025 had record serious injuries and the risk of serious injuries are rising.

@VincentStops Segregated cycle infrastructure is safer for all road users. Is it that your charts show KSIs from all road types across London? With the number of people cycling and number of journeys increasing it is likely the absolute number of incidents may rise.

.@Willnorman, the London Cycling Commissioner, persists with comparing risk now, against a baseline of 2010 to 14 when injuries spiked. He daren’t publish the chart because it shows that since his appointment cycle safety has worsened per journey!

The latest @TfL safety plan is better than the last, but it is pretty dishonest. They imply cycle tracks are 65% safer. That’s not true. 🧵 The figure is from one piece of research looking at tracks separate from the junctions. 2025 is the worst year for cycle safety ever!

What a joy to hear from Dalston’s Labour councillor telling the truth about Ridley Road Market and the council’s support for the market. This is in sharp contrast to the bandwagon jumper and @hackneygreens Cllr. @ZoeGarbett always running it down and giving false hope to traders.
Hackney Labour@HackneyLabour

@LabourDalston Cllr Grace Adebayo: "I'm proud of Ridley Road market - it's not affected by what’s happening inside the Shopping Village building - it's a thriving market open for the first time on Sundays & shows how it continues to grow & get support from Hackney Council."
