@philhuwedwards I have no issue with Islam being academically scrutinised in the UK but I believe there should be a blasphemy law which applies to all religions here because we live in a multicultural society.

If Islam spreads throughout the UK by a natural process of birth rates and conversion, what's wrong with that? We live in a country where a marketplace of ideas exists. So if the best idea wins how could anyone object? This is allegedly a meritocratic nation where the cream rises to the top. If the people choose Islam that would be a profoundly democratic choice.

Its rather early in the by-election for any narrative of a “vote split” being the used as the central part of the campaign, if Reform are genuinely polling there like they say they are. Usually if there is such a clear lead you just keep going on the positive position. What this implies to me is that Reforms own canvassing data is spooking them and they are running with vote splitting from the beginning, just like the Tories started doing when Reform were clearly challenging them.

Polygamy has never been normal in Britain. And yet the Government has just committed to giving even more taxpayer money to people in polygamous marriages. If you come to this country, you should abide by our norms. You certainly shouldn't get paid extra for failing to do so.
