Good lord why does everything have to be a dick measuring contest. People are dead. This isn't the time for such antics. There's more superiority complex coming out of this than genuine compassion.

In trying to “teach lessons” to those we ideologically disagree with, we often end up damaging our own national image with our own hands. This tragedy has slowly turned into a public fiasco where even people acting in goodwill are ridiculed.

The hero in our version of the story is not necessarily seen as a hero elsewhere, especially when emotions and personal bias are used to stretch narratives against others.

If we truly understood how international media works, we would not rush to them the moment crisis hits home. National interest should come first regardless of who is in power. We are living in a digital world where narratives travel globally within seconds.
